This page is dedicated to the most experimental and innovative group I have ever listened to, and to the genius behind King Crimson, Robert Fripp, who has been the one constant throughout the band's existence, and is one of the most innovative guitarists of his generation.  I admire him for his interest in creating music he's never heard before than music that we are familiar with.  Another progresive rock band that received some recognition from the mainstream on VH1's Top 100 Artists of Hard Rock when they got ranked at Number 87.

I was completely blown away by their music when I heard it for the first time.  Many in the music world have credited King Crimson as the group that ushered in the Progressive Rock era in 1969 when they released their breakthrough album "In the Court of the Crimson King".

King Crimson has had many talented musicians in their ever-changing lineup who have also gone on to further success in the music world:  Greg Lake (ELP), Ian McDonald (Foreigner), Boz Burrell (Bad Company), Bill Bruford (Yes), and John Wetton (Asia), Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel).  Currently, their lineup consists of Adrian Belew (guitar, vocals), Trey Gunn (bass), and Pat Mastelotto (drums), and of course, Fripp.

Recently, I saw King Crimson in concert for the first time.  Here's my review of their performance.

My favorite King Crimson album: In the Court of the Crimson King.  It contains their classic song "21st Century Schizoid Man".
