2278-2350 Uniforms from this era have a more military design, with a standard jacket with belt, pants, boots, and a realigned department color turtleneck. Sciences, communications and navigation were all indicated with a gray turtleneck. The Enterprise insignia was adopted as the standard Starfleet insignia and used on the belt and breastpin. 2366-2372 Standard uniforms during this era were a minor two-piece modification from the previous one-piece jumpsuit, primarily for comfort reasons. Rank pips were used on the newly-added collar with department-color trim. Also in use during the later part of this era was a one-piece jumpsuit, primarily black with department color shoulders and a gray turtleneck underneath. Cadet uniforms were similar to the jumpsuit, with gray replacing the black and full collar instead of a turtleneck. |
