Well my experiences with Stone are one of a kind. The first time I met Stone was in January of 98 at a Ben Harper gig, where Stone was supporting with Brad, I didn't count on meeting him, but I decide to go to the backstage door and see what would happen.

There were a few people there and we were all talking about PJ,anyway after the gig, we ran back to the stage door & were talking some more, I was talking to someone about him, when who should come walking down the stairs, but Stone!!!

I couldn't believe it...I think I acted like a total idiot, but Stone seemed to be cool about it...he signed my PJ t-shirt that I was wearing, but he wouldn't let me take a photo..which was a bummer, didn't talk to him for that long.. .but It was a great night.

I then met Stone in March of the same year, when PJ toured Australia the first time i met him he asked me if i had anything that I wanted him to sign, of course I did, we talked for a while and he said that he remebered me from the Ben Harper gig..which I couldn't believe, once again he wouldn't let me take photo's (i got photo's with Jeff and Mike..ed wouldn't let me take photo's either!!!!)I then mete him the next day and this time he wasn't in a good mood, but we talked for about five minutes about the songs off Yield...I told him my fave song was "Lowlight" he said it was a good song.

He then signed my diary...he laughed about the way I had decorated it....but then when I saw him again on the thirdday he asked me why I was back again...he only asked me because I went over to him to get some other stuff signed. I told him i was there because I was going to the third show that night (I wentto all three shows)...I didn't let it get to me.

The night of the third show I was in the pit and It was  UNBELIEVEABLE!!! guys were squishing me and it was A LOT worse thtan the previous two, anyway, after complaining to Pete (pj's security guy) he got me out of the pit and let me to the backstage area, for the entire gig I was on the side of the stage watching in awe..everyone of my friends hated me because I got a VIP pass (these can be seen on Dans Pearl Jam page) I also got given a signed setlist which Pete told me not to show anyone (this is also on Dan's Pearl Jam page.  I felt bad because Stone was getting pissed off with me. Anyway after the gig, I was talking to Stone and he seemed alright with me, I only  talked to him for a few minutes...but it was all well worth it...Stone's a legend and a complete legend...he's already given me a lifetime of memories which I will cherish forever. This goes for all the guys in Pearl Jam....ROCK ON....Talk to you all later.

Alright, I finally got what I wanted.  Some action out of the boy!  I went to the Merriweather show as a last-minute thing, didn't even have a ticket, but knew from experience that somebody would have extras to get rid of and hoping against hope to hear mankind.  That's all i was hoping, just mankind.  Well, no such luck. but check this out.  I got a free ticket when I got there (!) so i couldn't complain about my lawn spot.  Well, when the show started I realized I wasn't going to be able to see anything except the (one) screen that was working, and Stone never really gets adequate screen time, so i figured what the heck, I could still listen for free!  Then some folks moved, and I got their spot and I could see one spot on the stage.  Guess where?   Yeah!!   The most important spot on the stage!  (sorry, Ed) so I got to watch stone for a couple of hours.  I had been to 6 other shows this tour and kept waiting for him to crank it up, just a little bit.  Wow!  He sure did at the Merriweather!  Finally, my hero in full animation-- the duck walk, jumping all around, swinging his guitar, really, really getting into it and I saw all this from the lawn-- I can only imagine how great it was up close!!  He was laughing and interacting with the crowd all night.  Threw 2 handfulls of pics into the ten club seats, and just laughed at everyone grabbing.  It was great.  Mankind would have made it evenbetter, but oh well, it was a free show!  STONE RULES!!!!!  Now...if i could only meet him...!

My Stone Experience goes like this. When Pearl Jam came to Wellington in 1998 I went to the concert. It was amazing! You know the usual yadda yadda.... Then the day after me and my friends were gonna go bowling. When we got there our lane had been booked out so one of my mates suggested we go to the airport to look at the plane land. I didn’t really want to go but finally agreed. When I arrived there after going to the supermarket my mates were waving for me to hurry up. I was wondering what the hell? Then my brother pointed to a group of guys picking up their bags and I was like oh my GOD! It was the guys! I nearly threw up I was so excited! Then I saw Eddie coming over but he walked away when he saw this guy taking photos of him. So I managed to get the balls up to talk to Stone and was sooooo cool we talked for 15 minutes just about shit. It was great! He asked me what I was doing and how my life was and stuff. I said to him at one stage "Oh my god I cant believe I’m talking to a rock star....My favorite rock star!" and he laughed and said that he wasn’t that special! Yeah Right! Then he signed my Pearl Jam ticket and was outta there. Five minutes later I was talking to Mike while Stone was checking his bags in. Stone had sent Mike over to talk to me! What a champion!!!!!!! Well there ya go.
