| So, who are these 3dBs? What are they all about? Read on... “To become, one must exist but to exist, one must have vision”. – R D Calderwood – 3dB Biographer. So begins the history, which is the 3dB's, a band born out of a vision and evolving through differing experiences and as today will show, reaching a grateful audience, anticipated at the dawn. THE VISION H Bob and M David (lead guitars) had been together honing their individual skills and attaining their musical levels for a number of months, rehearsing at their mansions around the South of England but looking for an opportunity to bring their musical expression to a wider audience and to expand the spectrum of material to include the driving force which they felt was missing. A meeting in Paris between H Bob and B David (Drums) at a well known luxury hotel, brought the possibility of expansion of the band closer but the professional schedules of both precluded the immediate formation of ideas but musical seeds had been sown. Meanwhile in England, M David and H David (bass), on a rare visit to the United Kingdom, had met to compare musical ideologies and to focus on the task of bringing four talented people, from different parts of Europe together to create a band, presenting musical ideas, to a waiting and eager Public and Press. Schedules and PA’s were consulted and in early 2000 four people met at an exclusive European coastal location, to compare experiences, discuss possible material and to form the nucleus of what you are witnessing today. The three Daves and a Bob, the 3dB's if you will, had been born. |
