Unedit

Toonami makes it a point to edit out a few things here and there, outside of the occassional curse. Some dialouge was changed badly as well, apparenlty for no reason. Take a look at what you're missing... This page is contionously updated, so don't expect to see ALL the edits right away... these things take time, ya know.

One:

Would you believe Kiki made her grand entrace naked? Yes, it's true... Toonami actually did a great edit there, much better than the drawn-on bathing suits of the Tenchi OVA. I wouldn't have known it myself if I hadn't seen the episode before its dubbing. Want proof? Here ya go:

Two:

Editing out the bodies? Really... Toonami kinda shafted this one. When Shiro says to Ayna, "Do you want to end up like _THEM_?!" and points to a pair of dead Federal soldiers, Toonami edited them out. And did a good job, too... but nonetheless. It kind of ruins the point of Shiro's whole line there, doesn't it?

Three:

What was that for? In episode nine, we suddenly come to a scene when Ayna is looking over a bottle of medicine and wondering why Ghinius is feeding it to the soldiers. For some reason, Toonami cut out plenty of that scene... Originally, Ayna appears pushing a cart full of crates, and a soldier who has recrently recieved an injection kind of mindlessly comes to her aid. After accidenlty dropping a box and discovering the medicine, she drills the doctor about the ethics of using drugs to keep the men working. Another pointless edit... In addition, remember when Ghinius is berating Yuri right before he blows him up? Well actually, when Ghinius refers to Yuri's aide, we see her bound to a chair with a cart of nasty-looking medical implements and various bottled carsonegens on it. However, Toonami painted those out, leaving the cart empty... I wonder why?
