Robert van Herksen from the Netherlands

Hello Jesus  !

Let me introduce myself to you.

I'm Robbert van Herksen, a dutchman born in the Netherlands, but
currently working in southwest Turkey, for a luxury yachtbuilding
company.

I am sending you this message, because I want to know more about
programming PLC's in general, and I think you have some experience
withy this subject.

On the internet I found a page, where you can download a book about
programming PLC's (
http://www.plc-training.com/)
and maybe you can advice me, if it is worth to download this book (see
the link)

Thanks for reading my email, and hope you can advise me on some
things.

Kang Jen Wee from Singapore

hi david,

i got your email address through your website.
i see that you are quite familiar with hardware interfacing and i wonder if you can give me some pointers with regards to a problem i am currently facing.

i have a hardware device, which is capable of generating analogue voltage pulses. I actually wanted to monitor these impluses from a pc. hence, i am thinking of using an IC to convert the analogue signal to an rs232 sequence to be fed into the serial port of a pc.

do you think this is possible?
i have looked through some websites and i came across some ICs such as TLC548 (texas instruments) and MAX187 (Maxim) that can seem to do the job.
can you give me some opinions?

Thank you very much for your assistance!!

Regards,

si encuentras algo me avisas gracias..

Estimado Ingeniero.

Dear sir
thank u very much ,I have a master in computer eng.
,I did befor some circuits related to pulse induction
because this is my hoppy , but I found that it is
diffecult to deal with a huge coils , what I am going
to do , I am trying to find a sensor that send pulses
and other one used to recieve the reflected signal so
I can write the software to analyize the signal ,I
search the internet but I can not find like this
sensors , I hope you can ask your frinds for help

Dear Mr. David,

I went through your site and it is really good. I wouldlike to collabarte with you for making some software would you be interested ?

I have plans to make a VB software which communicates with Modbus protocol, I know many people have developed it, but I am interested to do it. Please let me know about your intrest.

hi..

thanks for your advise..base on your question.

1. Yes.. I had tried link it to PC using a null modem to read, send sms.. its work.

2. I have the PIC programmer hardware and software.. I also have MPLAB..

3. but I can’t understand what do you meant by optical (ir2) or electrical and isolated.

I had read your RS232 programming using PIC 16F32. it’s nice and interesting. I can understand that because I had learned how to programmed and use PIC 16F32. I just want to know.. NOKIA 30 used RS 232 as connection to electrical device or PC. Can I use http://www.oocities.org/the eijing dragon/rcpc.htm as reference for my project? And..can I replace PC control to NOKIA 30 gsm connectivity? (sms control)

thanks a lot….

Hi David

I am interested in learning 89c52 projects and interfacing it
with remote control devices.
i am still new to this assembly programming, but i am doing a project now on
capturing DTMF from telephone line and its like a billing system.

I am not a good reader so i like to get knowledge from looking at projects
and assembly codings
i like to learn c programming too for 89c52

If you have time to help me out with codings pls reply and i like to have
simple easy to make remote control circuits if u have

Thanking you

Kang Jer Haur

Dear Mr. Jesus David Jimenez Loza,

Hi Mr., i'm Mr Kang From Malaysia. I had saw some of your project on your webpage and i quite interested with the circuit design of the 'Oscilloscope, Frequency meter and Spectrum Analyzer Based on a low End PC', and here, i have some questions on your project and hope you can give some help on it.

    My questions is:
    1) what is the VOLTAGE range for the analog input signal?
    2) the circuit interfaced with the pc through the parallel or series port?
    3) is that the complete diagram you posted on the page? or we still need to add some additional resistors between the conection of the 74138 and ADC0804?
    4) are the pin 15,14,13,12,11,10,9,and 7 of the 74138 connected together?  because according to the schematics, all those pins are open.
    5) is the program run in DOS?

This is all my questions for now, for your information, i'm now finding an pc based OSC circuit (self made) to shows my instrument data on the PC, the experiment that i'm doing now is an hot wire anemometer and the interface (data and PC) is the last part of my project.

I'm glad that i found your circuit, its really give a lot of help on my interface part. Hopefully i'll get your reply and help on my question as soon as possible!!

Thanks

Dear David,

Hello this is kumar from India, hope u remember me. See I want your help in the below regard.

  1. There are two machines, 1 is local machine and other is Remote machine. Local machine has a database of MS-Access and the local machine will be connected to one RF modem of Serial port connectivity. The Remote machine has VB program and it is also connected to another RF modem. Is it possible for the VB program to access the MS-Access database using the serial port? Where can I get the code to do that?

  1. I would like to connect a GSM modem to a VB program. Where can I get the code to do that?

Your help is highly appreciated, please do the needful david.

por favor me podes enviar el circuito referido a "This is the ISA bus DAQ card.  You can built it for $7.  Circuit diagram will SOON be here, meanwhile you can request it by e-mail."...o si  tenes algo armado para el bus PCI...gracias

Getulio Gonzalez

Dear David Jesus

Do you have a program and circuit for USB 2.0 interface with a microcontroller (8085 or 8051 or 89C51) ?

thanks

Roy

Doug Vandergrift from the USA

Please don’t get me wrong, I looked at your 3-phase project, and was wondering why you were converting AC to DC and then fed it through the motor. Wouldn’t it be better to switch the AC to produce the 3-phase needed to run the motor?

What I am doing as my current project, is to build a 3-wheeler motorcycle. I am looking at an electric type, but starting to run into some basic problems. Motors. What type would be the best. AC or DC ? I was looking at DC motors for the reason that a DC motor can be used as a generator when needed and as a motor also when needed.

An AC motor was also looked at, but to make an AC motor into a generator will take some doing.

Any thoughts?

Electric cars are good for the local towns and cities, But are not good for the mountain town that I live in. Even hybrids do not fair as well. And, If you look at what I do, electric trucks will never work unless you add a fuel engine.

What I am thinking is a small gas engine in idle mode while one drives around town, but kicks in when you need extra power for going up hills and getting on freeways. Of course, going downhill, the motor should switch to generator mode, charging cells and acting as a brake.

Am I out there too far??
