When He Who Seeks What Is Finds Out How |
WARNING: Due to this being a "help" page, it's got spoilers. Read only if you've tried the puzzles on your own and are still utterly, completly, hopelessly s-t-u-c-k Quest for Glory I: So You Want to Be a Hero Helps Q: Where do I begin? A: You're new here! Explore. Think like your character would think and take a look around. As a breif suggestion, why don't you buy some apples? (about 5 silvers' worth should do). Talk to everyone you meet, make sure you've got all the supplies you need, and why don't you drop into the bar for a drink? Keep an eye out for anything on the floor. . . (Just don't drink the Dragon's Breath!) Quest for Glory II: Trial By Fire Helps Q: Where do I start? A: Get some money: you will never amount to anything in Shapeir without the correct currancy. Locating the Money Changer's is easy: head north out of the gate plaza onto Junub Tarik. Take the first left onto Marrib Darb and keep going along it (it twists and turns, so every time you see a new doorway, type "Look") until you find the Tarrik of Kattas; turn right on it. Follow the Tarrik of Kattas until you find Kital Darb. Kital Darb will eventually run into Naufara Darb, keep going until you see a left onto Dinar Tarik. Follow Dinar Tarik until the end (be careful not to hit Centime Tarik, which is a dead end), and you've found the money changer. Remember, she charges a 10% commision on changing money, so change in small amounts. As soon as you get back (go the way you came, or take Naufara Darb until it runs into the Fountian Plaza. Take Junub Tarik south), bargain for a map and compass from Ali Chicha (don't buy it: always bargain). Otherwise, everything falls into place for you--just remember to buy a Saurus on Day 2 or else! Quest for Glory III: The Wages of War Helps Q: Where do I start? A: QG3 doesn't even require much thinking. When you arrive, just go to the bazaar and go one screen up. The rest of the day plays out for you. Q: What do I need in the bazaar? A: Think like your character would think, get what you think would be neccicary for them. Otherwise, each one will need these items: five zebra skins, two waterskins, dried fish and/or rations (You'll run out of SPIM quick, so make sure you've got the meat), honey, a fine dagger, a leopard statue, a fine robe, a fine spear, beads, and a throwing dagger. (The theif will also need to buy rope, oil, and, if you like, the blackbird). |
