First off, you may get addicted to this game. Players have been known to go over twenty four hours straight without stopping. Just know what your getting into... You start a nation, by clicking on the "Download" tab on the top of the screen. Once you download the game, you will have to make a username, then a nation. Once you start your nation you will be in the first world, or what many players refer to as "Noob World", or "Noob Land". Being called a Noob just means that you are new to the game. Chat, stay around for a while, rack up some personal points (which i will explain later), and you will probably lose that title. But probably every single player in War of Conquest has been called a "noob" at least once, so don't get discouraged. First of all, there are three worlds. Level 1-30, 31-110, and 110 and above. When you are in your nation, you can only attack a nation that has bordering land on your nation. The better the nation that you attack is, the more points you get off them. To advance a level, you have to reach a certain number of points. At level one, it only takes 1000 points to get to level two. When you attack and get points, these points also add to your personal points, or PP. PP is a great way to show how good of a player you are. Gunner1 currently leads all players with over 100 million pp! An average attack you get about 100-150 points. When you reach the high hundreds in levels, sometimes it can take 200 thousand points to get to the next level! Uniting/Alliances: Alliances in the first world are good. They let you advance levels a lot faster. But make sure you have an ally that is a higher level then you. A lot of good players make a level 30 so that they can ally it with new nations they create so they can get through the first world quicker. Alliances in the second and third worlds are a lot less common. Uniting means that all your points, winnings, rebirth, orbs, land, alliances, go to the nation you unite with. Example: If nation A has 1000000 points and 1000 rb, and nation B has 500000 points and 200 rb, and nation B unites into nation A, Nation A will ahve 1500000 points and 200 rb. A lot of people unite seeds. Seeds are nations that players make and are sold for credits, which I will explain later. Normally seeds are level 99. You can unite these seeds with your nation or save them for after your rebirth. Plants are usually just level one nations that you unite with your nation. Why unite? These level ones are near valuable orbs, and that level one's land near the orb becomes yours. Also there are farms. These are usually not sold. Farms are just big, big patches of land that just stay there and get points from agriculture, or the amount of land that they have Orbs. Gathering orbs is the point of the game. Throughout the game map, there are scattered orbs which you try to find, fort, and keep as long as you can. There are four different kinds. Noontides-The most common orb that pays the least amount. Don't get me wrong, any orbs are good, but this is the worst out of the four orbs. 101 noons. Shadows-There are eight through the War of Conquest map. These are the second least rarest and the pay the third most. Then, Orb of Destiny. The Destiny is the second rarest orb, with only three around the map. These pay the second most. And finally, is the fire orb. There is only one orb of fire, and it is located on a small jut of land. This strip of land is often forted very high. The fire orb is located at 52m SE. Obviously, the fire is the most rare and pays at an amazing rate. People have made over three hundred dollars off the fire orb alone. But when you make money off of orbs, most players just recieve the credits, because if you recieve credits instead of recieving money, you get 50% more credits then your money's worth. (you can only actually get money in the mail if you have won more then $10.00) Obviously, you fort an orb according to how good it is. Don't overfort, people will make fun of you. Trust me. You should build a main, which is a large portion of land. You want to keep this land square to keep your geographic efficency up. If your geo eff. goes down, you become worse and it is harder to win an attack. Convergence eff. goes down everytime you and somebody in your nation attacks within three seconds of eachother. And finally, leadership efficency goes down when you get over six members in your nation and when you get allies. Worry about your geo eff. most. Many players 'checker' mains so that it ruins your geographic efficency. Then watch convergence. You don't have to pay as much attention to leadership, just keep your nation under six members and don't have more then two allies and you should be okay. Also, keep in mind unwritten rules, which i have a link for above. Reasearch your techs well before you attack them, it is a huge part of War of Conquest. If you need help on techs, check the bulletin board. www.warofconquest.com/bb. Keep these things in mind, and you should have a successful War of Conquest career.
