Isn't it curious how things turn around, spinning to the drumbeat of a distant sound... They don't listen. Black is the colour of an LP and so here is the music that has changed me and my life for the better. Woken me up. Brought life into my dream. The Beatles - All of their songs are absolute classics Paul McCartney (Wings) - Band on the Run Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band John Lennon - Working Class Hero George Harrison - Wonderwall The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven Vertical Horizon - Glass Waltz Cream - Tales of Brave Ulysses Sting - Windmills of your Mind Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child The Rolling Stones Seal - Kiss from a Rose Faithless - Evergreen Darius - Mockingbird Darling Violetta Sting - Desert Rose Four Star Mary Eve 6 I suggest you download these now. Make sure you're living. And now to my songs... (obviously not as good as the masters' classics (the masters being John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr))... but at least I sing my own songs that I wrote myself. Better than most bands then. -=- Lyrics -=- -+- Poetry -+- If you like these songs and live in South Wales, UK, maybe you should consider joining our Band on the Run... Another good album is Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells. Though not the remixed version - that's just crap. The real version is on LP (the ONLY decent format for music) and is one LP not 5 CDs or whatever they are flogging it off as now. ***And something I just heard on MTV just pissed me off - that 'Pop Idol' git - Gareth or whatever - has just covered (suprise suprise - like hell we were expecting something original from that git) 'The Long And Winding Road' by The Beatles. THAT is bad form, the stupid git. I wouldn't mind so much if it was a descent cover (not that many are) but it actually RUINS the song!!!! The younger generation are going to know 'The Long And Winding Road' as a Gareth song and that kills me. Actually kills me. The stupid git.*** Well for now I'm heading back off into the world of 'fab gear, top gear', 'mockers', and 'Rock and Roll Music'... see ya later. Ta ta. -+- The Silver Darkling -+- |
