There is one particular avenue of our local west coast history which has been all but excluded from the official history books and is presently veiled in allegory.
But further research must be done, so I have created this website to serve as a virtual appeal for fellow Bourtreehillians who are fascinated with the history of their estate and who hold a deep desire to propogate its unknown heritage for the Bourtreehillians of the future.
I am trying to organise a 'speculative' society who will befriend the present estate of Bourtreehill with the intention of protecting and enhancing its appeal.
Don't worry, you won't have to pick up any litter. You simply have to contribute to the gathering of written or anecdotal evidence for this website. If a long term resident remembers a certain long-lost feature in the estate then your contribution would be very welcome. Likewise, any information or discoveries concerning the estate or its neighbours would be greatly appreciated.
