HELP GET 'SUPERBOY' BACK IN SYNDICATION AND TO HOME VIDEO/DVD!

Sign DMWC's peition to get WB to relinquish the lien against the Superboy TV series. Sign the PETITION .

In late 1991/early 1992, a lien was placed against the 'Superboy' series (which aired from 1988-92) by Warner Brothers. This meant that this wonderful TV show would never air on television again, or be sold in any medium (Video or DVD). Ten years have nearly passed, and a whole new generation of Superman fans are alive and well. But due to this legal ban, most of these new fans have never even seen, nor even know about this once popular 'Superboy' TV show (which starred talented actors Gerard Christopher and Stacy Haiduk)! Produced by the 'Superman' movie producers Alexander and Ilya Salkind, 'Superboy' reached the top ten of Syndication in 1989 and remained so until the lien. By it's 3rd and 4th season, the production/FX of this show was nothing to laugh at, and clearly rivaled the earlier Christopher Reeve Superman movies!

If you want to see Superboy on DVD or VHS, there is a way that we might be able to make it happen! Anchor Bay Entertainment, which produced the 'Supergirl' Special Edition DVD, may be able to acquire the rights to the Superboy series and have expressed some small amount of interest in doing so in the past. Maybe if enough of us suggest it to them, we can get it to happen. Here is a link with which you can send suggestions to Anchor Bay.

Mention any special features that you might want on Superboy DVDs and be sure to suggest a VHS release also so as not to leave out all of those who don't yet have DVD players. Maybe, just maybe, we can get at least a few episodes released!
