| Hurricane Candles are a unique type of candle. Basically they are a "candle within a candle". Each hurricane comes with a core candle or a glass insert for burning votives or tealites (recomended style). The external candle is more of a shell with different items embedded within it. The inner candle burns down creating a stunning glow thru the external shell. Once the core candle has burned down a votive cup can be inserted and tealites or votives can be used to prolong the "life" of your candle. You choose the external embed, the color of the embed, and the type of internal candle desired. |
| To the left is an example of a hurricane with flower embeds. Above are several samples of core candle hurricanes (top two), and glass type insert hurricanes. All of the glass insert hurricanes made at Becky's Candle Garden are now made as a three piece unit. The outer shell containing the embeds, the votive cup and the votive. This allows for better heat dispersal from the votive and less of a chance of the outer shell melting while lit. |
| CAUTION: Hurricane candles should not be burned for more than two (2) hours at a time. Always remember to trim your wicks to 1/4" before burning. |
