JFK Flight Attendant Flo Emeigh

~~~
Hunter Mountain Ski Area, NY
JFK F/O Tom "T Square" Thomas was Captain of
the "B" Race Team. Here he is, assisted by F/A Jamie Lutz, presenting Captain
Gordon Huston with his medal.
|
Pia Culligan through the finish line at Hunter
Mountain, NY. Was that a 3-point landing?????
Pia resigned from EAL to raise a family.
After raising her 2 daughters, Pia returned to flying as a PanAm Flight
Attendant. The last time I talked to her she was flying for Delta.
That was after the PAA / Delta merger.
|
F/A Patricia Fink took time off from her
duties in MIA as President of Local 553, the Union representing the Flight
Attendants at EAL. She came to Hunter Mountain Ski Area in January 1983
for the EAL Ski Team Race Camp.
Mirror Lake Inn,
Lake Placid, NY - December 1985
The skiing was at Whiteface Mtn., NY and
we stayed at the Mirror Lake Inn in Lake Placid.
F/O Mark Ralston, brought along his wife Bonnie
and their 4 weeks old daughter, Rachel.
Rachel is sweet 16 now. Mark is young enough
to still be flying for an airline. I wonder where they are now.
I would love to give them this photo and others I have.
In the dining room of the Mirror Lake Inn at
Lake Placid, NY - 12/9/85.
ATL F/A Susanne Hanrahan, is about to enjoy dinner
with F/O Mike and his wife, Jan (I can't remember their last name). In
December 1985, the EAL Ski Club had their ski week at Whiteface Mountain
in NY. During January, February, March and April of each year, the
airline Ski Clubs and their Ski Teams in NAASF get together for a week
of friendly 'cut-throat' competition on and off the ski slopes at some
of the world's most famous ski resorts. But before 'the games begin',
each airline's Ski Club members, their families and friends get together
in December for a week to hone their racing skills and sharpen their edges.
I wonder who Sue and Mike are skiing for now!
They're still young enough to be with an airline. Let me know where you
are and I'll send you these photos.
F/O Hobson Reynolds and JFK F/A Norma Frey -
Lake Placid, NY December 1985
Norma is working for Delta Airlines as an International
Arrivals Agent at JFK now skiing with the Delta Airlines Ski Club and the
Garden City Ski Club of Long Island. I don't know who Hobson is flying
and/or skiing with now, but I am sure he is with some airline. He
was one of many young pilots who were hired by Eastern at the time when
the WWII military trained airline pilots were reaching retirement age.
