The Swamp Gas Journal Archives

Issues of the Swamp Gas Journal Available Online

Of course, when the SGJ was first published back in 1978, there was no Internet. In fact, personal computers were only a dream for the most part (with the exception of PETs, and we don't want to talk about those, do we?). Back then, I was just starting to use a large mainframe that required boxes of keypunched cards to do things like multiply and divide, so an online storage storage facility for a ufozine was out of the question.

As a consequence, my archives for the SGJ go back only to about 1992, but as you will see, I have a reprint of an issue from 1980. One of these days, I may have the time/energy to key in all the other issues, but until then, this is all you can read online:

Volume 6, No. 1, January, 1992
Volume 6, No. 2, June, 1992
Volume 6, No. 3, November, 1992
Volume 6, No. 4, September, 1993
Volume 7, No. 1, March, 1994
Volume 7, No. 2, Fall, 1994
Volume 7, No. 3, Summer, 1995
Volume 7, No. 4, Winter, 1996
Volume 8, No. 1, Summer, 1997

That was the end of the "regular" publishing history of the SGJ, unfortunately. There were also the following "Special Issues":

Special Issue No. 2: December, 1992. 'A Looney a Look'
Special Issue No. 3: 18 August 1992. 'NAICCR (North American Institute for Crop Circle Research) Report on Investigations of Crop Circles in the Area of Strathclair, Manitoba'
Special Issue No. 4: Spring, 1996. 'Alien Incompetency Theory: A Unified Theory to Explain UFO Phenomena'
Special Issue No. 5: Summer, 1997. 'Fish Stories, From the Horse's Mouth and Cults'
Special Issue No. 6: Summer, 2003. 'Just to clear up some small misunderstandings...'

Finally, there is an issue from the first volume of SGJ, published as Volume 1, No. 7, April, 1980, which was technically the first "Special Issue" that is absent from the list above.
