	s t o r i e s
			The figure in the bed stirs before abruptly sitting up and slowly making his or her way off the bed.  As the figure takes a step away from the bed, the floorboard creaks.  She winces, hoping no one heard.  She steps into her Garfield slippers and advances toward the door.
