Queen Sarah here. ::waving:: This page is about...dum dum dum...off topic guys! Read: *not Terence* Well, you can't expect us to *always* stick to one guy... |

Jamie Bamber Now, I must say that I have a *real* soft spot for the Crumpet, aka Jamie Bamber. You see, it is with Jamie gushing that I got my start! Yes, before the Gutter even existed, I was a devoted Jamieite. It all started with Hornblower. Jamie plays the dearly departed Archie Kennedy...(Who got KILLED OFF!! *cough* Sorry, touchy subject.) Well, certain people may not like you, Archie love, but WE DO!! Jamie has also been in various other things, but the really important one is a British medical drama Peak Practice, the tapes of which I now own, thanks to Beth (THANK YOU BETH!!!!)..Jamie is the posessor of the Sapphire Bullets (ie/ his wonderful blue eyes), as well as an adorable nose scrunch mechanism. His hair is like a chamelion...it's blonde, light brown, or red, depending on the day and whether it's a full moon, it seems. But whatever the shade, he's just bloody gorgeous! For Beth, Ilona, and Tonny's amazing site, go here: Jamiebamber.co.uk Dominic Monaghan In one interview he said he didn't think he was terribly good looking. Um...excuse me? Modesty's wonderful, but it can go too far!! He has the distinction of being one of the few guys on the Earth that I think looks quite fetching with a bit o' stubble...(Sean Astin and Jamie Bamber being the other two. Just in case you wanted to know.) I *cough* am Keeper of Dom's Sexy Stubble and Manchester United Boxers, after all...Dom's not too tall (About 5'7"--a little under the Queen's height! Fancy that!!), he's got blue-grey eyes, he's got that lanky yet tres muscular build, and he's got a wonderful Manchester accent. And listen. You have not LIVED until you've heard him sing. Hie yourself to the Monsignor Renard interview to read my reactions to *that*...Now, moving on...he's actually in something that I, in the Great White Deprived of British Actors North (as in Canada), am able to get on tv! Yes, he's in Hetty Wainthrop Investigates (a Britcom/mystery type thing), with Patricia "Hyacinth Bucket" Routlage, as Geoffrey, Hetty's teenage sidekick. It's hilarious! I love PBS!! I'm looking forward to this immensly...So if you're reading this, Dom (Yeah, right...a girl can dream, though...)--You *are* good looking. Trust me. You haven't the faintest idea. And, it's now official. He is one of the Queen's three kings. I just couldn't choose!! Elijah Wood Elijah Wood is, of course, Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings. (If you didn't know that, I must ask what planet you're living on.) He is, also, incredibly gushable. (Not to mention being a fantabulous actor.) The eyes. Wow. I can drown in those eyes...they're so *blue*...and *wide*...and they can portrey such emotion. He's been in quite a few films, notably The Faculty, The Ice Storm, Deep Impact, and Flipper. (OK, so no one's perfect...) And now that LOTR is out, there's mucho Elijah in the media to quench the Elijah gushers among us, in both print and TV. Elijah is one of the few American actors we tend to gush at the BEWB, and he represents his county well! And, to top it all off, he sounds like a really cool guy to know! YEAH ELIJAH!! A Princess Note: He was also in The Faculty. Bwahahaaa! Read my review :) Ioan Gruffudd Suffice it to say, Ioan's a doll. He's the epitome of tall, dark, and handsome. With a Welsh accent, to boot!! Out of all the four main Indyboys that I gush, he's the most well known here on the North American continent, due to his appearance in 102 Dalmations. Yup, that was him! The cute dog owner in the shorts and sweater. Whenever I talk about him, I go "...and he was in 102 Dalmations..." and the person I'm talking to goes "Oh, *him*!! I know him!! He's hot!!" Well, whatever works. He rooms with another adorable Welsh actor, Matthew Rhys. Ioan is very proud of his Welsh heritage--his first language is Welsh, and he and Matthew speak Welsh together...I really admire their pride in their country...Ioan is, of course, Horatio Hornblower in the AandE series, the Butch Cassidy to Archie's Sundance Kid, the Don Quioxte to Archie's Sancho Panza, the Merry to Archie's Pippin, the Frodo to Archie's Sam. Quite lovely. But he also acted terrifically in "Solomon and Gaenor" and some other movies. Here's a great Ioan site-- Lovely Ioan Page Billy Boyd Billy plays Pippin Took in Lord of the Rings...and does an absolutely fabulous jog. Billy is a Scot, from Glasgow, and he plays guitar! And bass guitar! And drums! You can imagine how this affects the Queen in all her musicalness...(this from the girl who can't function without music..) He also sings tenor *and* baritone!! He has a mucho cool official website where, among other things (like a wicked forum) there are RealPlayer interviews with him and the Webmaster, Stewart. Hopefully he'll sing in the next one! He also is known to wear a kilt to premiers and the like. We wonder what what Scotsmen *really* wear under their kilts... Billy has done a massive amount of stage work. He's also in some movie where he apparently is a menacing loan shark, Urban Ghost Story. (And thanks to Dianne, I'll have it soon!!) Which is a little hard to picture, considering his sweet face. And the eyes. GAH...they're so green...and beautiful...<bilssful sigh> Billy is now the third King of the Gutter. Go Billy! Billy also needs to invest in sunscreen. ::slathers him in Solar Cain:: To go to Billy's lovely homepage with the interviews and whatnot, go to Billy Boyd's Homepage. Sam West Sam is also currently playing Hamlet at Stratford Upon Avon in Britain...YAY SAM!! Sam hasn't done much that's available out of Britain, like the rest of the Indyboys, but what I can get my greedy little hands on is good stuff!! The pathetic part is, he's actually in a CANADIAN MOVIE, a first for the Four Indyboys, but do you think I can get my hands on a copy? NOOOOOOO!! The *Canadian* can't find a copy of the stupid film! However, I *have* seen the other Canadian production he's done (a joint Canadian-French thing), and let me tell you--La Belle Isobelle is worth seeing. (That, BTW, is not the title of the show...it's the character he plays...It's an episode of Strangers called Costumes...) Before I move on, I just want to say that I love Sam's hair. Spastically curly. As a Junior Acolyte in the Cult of Sam, the Princess would like to comment. Due to massive amounts of groveling, I've managed to see some interesting Sam flicks. He's super in all of them, as usual. The Canadia film the Queen speaks of, Rupert's Land, is rather funny, and Sam looks throughly goofy with these big plastic sunglasses, trying to avoid his half-brother's idiocy. Especially funny is Sam tripping out on 'shrooms. Anyway, My favorite Sam film is Heavy Weather, where he plays the lovably dim-witted Monty Bodkin, in plus fours no less! Anyway, in all agreement, Sam is a fine actor with a great sense of humor. For more Sam stuff, go the the hilarious Scriptorium. Sean Astin Sean Astin is better known to the world at large as Samwise Gamgee from The Lord of the Rings. (Are you starting to see a pattern here? HH, LOTR, HH, LOTR...) Word on the street is that Sean and the Mrs. are in need of congratulations as a new baby is on the way. ::clearing throat:: YAY!! CONGRATULATIONS!! HURRAY FOR THE ASTINS!! Besides LOTR, Sean is known for his role in 'Rudy' (which I haven't seen yet), and being in the Goonies. I seem to be the only person on the face of the planet who has not seen a) Flipper or b) the Goonies. The thing I love most about Sean is his enthusiasm and happiness. He just seems like a happy guy! He has such a sunny smile! I Like all the other hobbits, he's not overly tall, and he is one of the lucky few guys who I don't have the urge to gift with a razor anytime I see him with stubble. Go Sean! Comment by the Princess: First, don't feel bad, I've never seen Flipper either. And I only half-watched the Goonies. Feel any better? But what I remember of The Goonies is adorable. Sean has an inhaler fetish. It's so cute. UPDATE: The baby's been born! Yay! Congrats to the Astins on their newest addition to the family, Elizabeth Louise! Jason Carter/Marcus Cole Jason Carter is a fabu British actor who is best known (to me at least) for his role as Marcus Cole in the most wonderful Sci-Fi show in existence, Babylon 5. (To J. Michael Strazynski--YOU ARE THE BEST!!) Marcus is a Ranger, sworn to watch for the Shadows. He has the hots for Commander Susan Ivanova, second in command at B5. (She's played by Claudia Christian, another cool actor.) However, Susan thinks he's annoying. It's revealed at one point that Marcus is a virgin, as he's saving himself for the right person (ie/ Ivanova, whom he loves.) Got all that? Good, cause it goes downhill from here. Just as Susan *finally* starts to realize that Marcus may not be all that bad, she has to go fight in some pesky war with Earth. In the ensuing battle, their ship is rammed and Susan goes into a coma, and is expected to die. Marcus is devastated. But he's also smart. He looks in the files of the B5 Medlab (I haven't got the faintest idea how he got access to these...this is drama here people! Suspend reality!) and finds the records Dr. Franklin made earlier in the series about the alien healing device that would take the life force of the donor and give it to the sick person. Marcus high-tails it to B5, knocks all the guards around Medlab out (Did I mention that he can deal out some major whup-ass when he wants to?), and hooks himself up. As he lays down beside the unconcious Ivanova, his last words are "I love you, Susan." (Or someting to that effect--don't have the tape on hand at the moment.) Suffice it to say, I bawled. Susan wakes up and realizes she's been totally dense (that doesn't even *begin* to describe it), and breaks down. Marcus *sniff* gave up his life for her *sniff* so noble *sniff* ::Sarah starts sobbing:: It moves me, it really does. I need a cheer up. Note from the Princess: I, too, regret the loss of poor Marcus. However, I do believe that Star Trek is way better than B5 ::ducking shots from the Squirrel Army:: Queen again: At least *I'm* not lusting over a *dog*...::ducking dog biscuits:: Yet Another Note From the Princess: We do not *lust* over the dog. We merely think Porthos is the most adorable puppy in the world. I wonder how the tables would be turned if *Marcus* had a dog... Guardian Bob This dude is a little different from the rest in that he's *cough cough* an animated character. *cough cough* So what, I say!! He's damn fine!! He's on the amazing tv show, Reboot, which is Canadian in origin! (Go Mainframe Entertainment!) It's set in the inside of a computer, and Bob is the Guardian (virus check program) of Mainframe. The story is way too complicated to get into here, but I've just been on cloud nine because two new movies were on YTV recently: Daemon Rising and My Two Bobs. YEEHAW!! It's been too long without Reboot. Keep it coming, guys! Next we go to... Heath Ledger [Guest reviewer is...Countess Leonore!] He's got this hair...sometimes blonde, sometimes brown, sometimes long, sometimes short...ALWAYS unkempt. And those eyes...beautiful brown eyes. And that smile... Heath Andrew Ledger, born April 4, 1979, has come a long way. Starting out with just 69 cents in his wallet, he soon made a name for himself in his native Australia. His breakout film was the dark comedy, Two Hands. Technically, he first debuted in the US in 1997 with the television show Roar. This was when I first noticed the Adonis...leather pants, 'nuff said. After returning to Australia to film Two Hands, he landed the part of Patrick Verona in 10 Things I Hate About You. He sings...I swoon. He lounged around living off of Ramen noodles after that for over a year while teen movie genre scripts were being tossed at him. Finally, he won the part of Gabriel Martin in Mel Gibson's Revolutionary War epic, the Patriot. His performance got the interest of many directors and Heath soon found himself as the lead in A Knight's Tale. He will rock you. Seriously. He winks and grins so many times...you need a beach towel to sop up the drool. Heath will next be seen in Monster's Ball, a film starring Billy Bob Thornton and Halle Berry. Additionally, he's soon be lighting up the big screen as Harry Faversham in the millionth (slight exaggeration) re-make of the Four Feathers. He is currently filming Sin Eater in Rome. Heath's name has been linked to numerous other films such as Our Sunshine, a film about Ned Kelly, the Australian outlaw. Other possible works include, Nautica (with Ewan McGregor) and Master and Commander, a very Hornblower-esque type of movie. Orlando Bloom Back to the Queen...What can one say about the loverly Orli? For the un-enlightened, he plays Legolas in The Lord of the Rings, the blonde haired, blue eyed Elf who's tres handy with a bow and arrow and a pair of white Elven knives. In real life (You mean LOTR isn't real? No!) Orli has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes and is SEXY!! He's also in Wilde (with Ioan Gruffudd, incidentally), an episode of Midsomer Murders (I'm sensing a pattern), Judgement Day, Black Hawk Down (with Ioan Gruffudd again) and apparently two new British movies (watch this space) He also has one of *the* sexiest accents in existance. And, he's tall and has a lanky (yet muscular) build that can melt the heart of even the most hardened gusher. So, to sum up...Orlando Bloom = really gorgeous, awesome actor. He's also an amazing archer. Lady Rachel has *excellent* taste... Gordon Michael Woolvet Gordon is better known to the world at large as Seamus Harper on Andromeda. I am in seventh heaven here, because I have found someone who is not only an amazing actor and really hot, but is...wait for it...CANADIAN!!!! Yes, Gordon hails from Steeltown, which for the non-Canadian among us is Hamilton, Ontario. I love this guy! He is so awesome as Harper! Not only does he bring the comic relief, but he makes Harper a three-dimensional character instead of *just* the comic relief. (A talant he shares with Billy Boyd and his portreyal of Pippin...) And, to top it all of, he's *really* hot. Gah...Vive les beax acteurs canadiens!! WHOOHOO!! Here's the official Andromeda site: Gene Roddenbury's Andromeda. Sean Biggerstaff With a rare appearance by moi, the Princess! After Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was released, there were more searches for this guy than for Daniel Radcliffe. That should tell you a lot. He's the Quidditch-obessed Gryffindor Keeper, Oliver Wood, in the Harry Potter movies, and has made quite an impression on audiences, most specifically girls. He's actually a pretty cool guy. He played in a band called Crambo, has a thing for badgers, and will occasionally post on his main website. Hurrah for Sean! We love our Scots. Oh, and he's extra-special because he was born 2 years and 1 day before me. Yay! He was also in The Winter Guest, which, from what I hear, is fairly boring. I've yet to see it. I suppose I'll decide for myself when I see it :) The incredibly informative Totally Sean Biggerstaff Christian Coulson Again by the Princess! (NOTE: Finally Updated! I've actually seen him!) Here's the future of Hornblower, people! He's billed as "Young Midshipman Hammond" in Hornblower series 3 (AKA "Hornblower and the Hotspur"). But the reason I first heard about him was because he is currently starring (OK, so he hasn't got top billing. But as far as I'm concerned, he and Kenneth B. steal the show) in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. He also was in three(ish) episodes of The Forsyte Saga, a masterpiece of Masterpiece Theatre, in which he portrayed Jolly Forsyte, the son of Young Jolyon Forsyte (I apologize if your name is Jolyon, but what the heck kind of a name it that??). Jolly is an overprotective older brother, and goes slightly mad when his sister Holly (Holly and Jolly...what cruel parents) falls in love with another Forsyte...from ::gasp:: the wrong side of the family. Jolly seems to be the only person to recognize this ickiness and dares Val Dartie (Holly's love) to join the army. Dartie dares him back. Christian sizzles. Unfortunately, as do all the hot ones, he doesn't last too long in Forsyte, and he's a bad guy in Harry Potter, so you know he's doomed. My only hope is for Hornblower, but we all know what they do to guys I like. (*sniff* I miss my Wellie..) He's done all kinds of plays and things and was in something called Love in A Cold Climate and another thing called "Weirdsister College". And he went to Cambridge! What is it with these smart boys? Now that I've seen Christian in two separate roles, I can say that Terence and Elijah have some stiff competition from that smooth-talking Slytherin. Hurrah for future Indyboys! The Christian Coulson official page Craig Parker This is Queen Sarah again, and I'm adding my latest actor love to our little list: the lovely Craig, who is best known (in these parts, at least) as the dearly loved and sorely missed Haldir from The Lord of the Rings. Craig was born in Fiji, but lives and is best known in New Zealand. I first saw him in FOTR as the delightfully snarky Lorien elf Haldir, and when I saw the extended FOTR scenes and him kicking much ass in TTT, it was Haldir love. I finally have a definitive favourite male elf! Which, of course, means that he must die. Which Haldir did. *muffled cursing* Craig is also in the NZ ER-like show Mercy Peak. (Which is being shown in Canada! *dances in joy* However, it is on the [God help me] Women's Television Network. The things I do for these men..) He's been on Xena, Young Hercules, Shortland Street (another NZ show), as well as Comedy Debates from NZ that I am DYING to get my hands on. If anyone knows where to find these, please E-MAIL ME!! As for theatre, he's been in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, and is currently the Narrator in the Rocky Horror Show in Auckland. If I had a first born child, I would sell it to be able to see this. Watch out, everyone, the Queen has a new favourite! The Unofficial Craig Parker Site Craig Parker, the Actor Behind Haldir Viggo Mortensen Viggo is probably best known as Aragorn in The Lord of the Rings. However, he is an artist in every sense of the word: he writes poetry, paints, and is amazing at photography. Viggo is, in fact, the photographer of what I think is the most beautiful picture of Elijah Wood in existance. (It's the Te Anau pic where Elijah is crouching in the snow.) Musings of Viggo The Corner of Viggo Sean Bean Sean Bean has been most recently known as Boromir in The Lord of the Rings, but he's been in quite a lot of movies and tv, such as Golden Eye (as 006 Alec Trevelyn), Lady Chatterly's Lover, and Sharpe. He has also done a lot of theatre, the most recent of which is MacBeth (MacBean?) in England, which some of our intrepid Bamberettes were able to see (along with Jamie on stage and Sam's masterclass) while in England. Sean is a rabid football (soccer for us North Americans) fan, but his team is Sheffield United, unlike Dom, whose obsession is Man U. This pic is for you, Beth. The Complete Sean Bean Karl Urban Karl, a native of Wellington, New Zealand, plays Eomer in The Lord of the Rings, and he was also Cupid and Caesar on Xena, and was in Shortland Street, a show the the lovely Craig Parker was in. (God, the Aussie and Kiwi acting world must be almost as small as the British one!) Since LOTR, he's been in The Price of Milk, which was directed by Harry Sinclair, Isildur in LOTR. *sings* It's a small world after all... The Karl Urban Page A Karl Urban Fan Page David Wenham David Wenham, who was born in Sydney, Australia, plays Faramir, Boromir's brother, in The Lord of the Rings. In Australia, he's best known as Diver Dan from the show Seachange, yet another show that we don't get in Terminally TV Deprived Canada. David has been in many movies, such as Better than Sex, and enjoys to do theatre. A little tidbit: David played Audrey in Moulin Rouge. He's the playwright who is replaced by Christian. I almost missed him, as Audrey is wearing...quite a lot of makeup. Here's a quote: Q: Are you a transvestite in Moulin Rouge? A: He's a character that enjoys the benefits of makeup! *loves* David Wenham.net Marton Csokas Marton, who was born in New Zealand, most recently played Lord Celeborn in The Lord of the Rings and Yorgi in xXx. Marton did a lot of theatre, and even founded a theatre company in New Zealand. He has done work on Hercules and Xena, as well as Shortland Street, which Craig and Karl were on as well. He was also in Star Wars Episode II, but I don't know the character. I must investigate this! Musings of Marton Daniel Jackson With Susie again! (And the inevitable commentary of Sarah) Here comes the most debatable of OT guys: Dr. Daniel Jackson. Sarah likes Movie Daniel. I totally dig TV Daniel. Whether it's James Spader or Michael Shanks, there's no denying it: Daniel Jackson is The Man. A geek? Sure. Sexy? Hell yes. This guy speaks 23 languages fluently. How hot is that? You can't blame Sha're, the poor girl. Poor Daniel is *still* grieving, which is so cute, since most TV/Movie characters would just move right along and keep going, and Daniel's in mourning for, oh, I dunno...YEARS. Anyway, both Daniels are the kind of guy you want to take home to your parents. Damn fine specimen of a man. Smart: check. Committed: check. HOT: check. This guy can figure out how to work the Stargate one minute and kill you with his baby blues the next. Daniel in the Lion's Pit: A *Different* MIchael Shanks Site Hugh Jackman Yet another Aussie hottie to add to the list. The man's got it all. How can you not love him. He's best known as Wolverine from the X-Men movies, and if you ask us, Wolverine is one damn sexy lost Candian with a metal skeleton. Yow. He's quite multi-talented: he also can sing and play the piano, violin, and guitar, and...juggles up to 5 balls at once. He's been in several plays and musicals in London, one of which was Oklahoma (I've tried downloading him singing "Surrey With The Fringe On Top") He's terrifically casual and unpretentious. Hugh's latest big job was to host the 2003 Tony Awards, proving his sense of humor (he made fun of his own long hair). Soon he'll be appearing on Broadway in the show The Boy From Oz. It's a good time to live in the Tri-State Area :) All About Hugh Jackman |
