Sylvia Plath

Sylvia Plath, author & poet famously married to Ted Hughes is buried in Heptonstall.

The Arvon Foundation has three centres in the U.K. where they
hold residential writing courses - one of these is in Heptonstall.
They operate throughout the year on various writing topics. These
