The Fool's
Journey
by Ned Hogan, Jr.
enough
to matter
she
told me
twice
(no, not to flatter)
in a magic language
without holes
and
in that frightening cold
she was surrounded
imediately
by her charges
because inside her was nothing that needed
and her intent was living in the Toa of neccessity
which must be heeded
there
was a balance created that was beyond the balance
and
her eyes wore smoke against the poison lights
streaming in screams from the screens surrounding her
yes
so twice
wher3e once was
so nice
