The PayTV alternativ for the Skystar2 DVBViewer!

I finally finished the new Media On Demand Plugin for the DVBViewer. The most exciting feature first: Hulu works fine inside the DVBViewer. The following services are supported: Noxon Radio, Shoutcast, HD Radio, Stream Audio, Beeline, Hulu, CBS, Comedy Central, Myspace TV, Online TV Library and VOD Source. I did not counted all the links, but i suppose it is definitively the largest and expandable collection available. The most services do not need a Proxy/VPN - even if the Digital Millenium Act throws big rocks between non American users :) I did not found another workaround for Hulu and CBS yet, but i'm still working on. |

Wow, i did not thought that the DVBViewer would be able to get support for shockwave flash files - especially since they are not really audio or video streams at all, but the latest beta seems to be able to play this kind of media format quite well. I started to update the internet stream plugin again, and it currently supports Hulu, CBS, IHeartmusic (again since they changed their service platform) streams etc... The plugin is still under heavy development, but be aware of an release within the next weeks :)

It has been a while since i found time to update the SoftCSA Plugin and to be a bit more creative. For my excuse, i found a new job, went to another city and so on. Anyway i created a small OSD plugin which collects internet Radio and Video Streams/Feeds from multiple sources out of the web. The lists contain cool Radiostations like Radio Sibir as well as Fox Las Vegas, NBC4 etc... Just put the Media On Demand Plugin into the DVBViewer's Plugin folder and you will be glad to have ~12k new channels.
I also updated the SoftCSA Plugin which was not able to handle encrypted Streams which are neither Audio, nor Videostreams. Some special channels even encrypt the Subtitles and PCR Pids.

I wrote a small tool which imports the tv and radio logos from lyngsat.

With the help of rem0te i was able to update softcsa in order to get the FFDeCSA working. All you have to do is to copy the ffdecsa.dll into the DVBViewer folder and if you use the latest version >=3.6.0 the FFDeCSA mode is automaticly activated. The speed performance while decoding is quite amazing. In my case i save up to 300% while decoding a scrambled channel.

Honestly, i simply forgot to update the softcsa plugin while uploading the new website and the other smaller projects. The new version comes with a couple of improvements. You can now decode all audio tracks in one channel and the plugin works together with the dvbv plugin for the recording service. If you have Vplug working as MDPlugin (a small fix is required to get it directly running with the recording service) in combination with softcsa the scrambled channels are now also decoded with the dvbviewer recording service .

While playing with the new DVB Viewer SDK i figured out how easy it is to import epg entries, so what makes more sense to use this for a real cool importer. The only disadvantage is the fact that only german channels are provided with tv movie "und nicht jedermann spricht deutsh" ;)

The plugin is quite unique and i'm a bit surprised that it worked from scratch. It tooked about 2 hours to code it and a few days to get it work in the way i wanted to have. You are now able to record multiple crypted channels in the same time, even if the dvbviewer yells that there might be a problem with it.
