Dandruff Remover
Ingredients

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup white vinegar
Procedure

Combine ingredients then apply directly to the scalp. Use before shampooing. Apply twice a week.


Dry Shampoo
Cornstarch is used to absorb the hairs oils.

1/2 cup Cornstarch

Procedure:
Sprinkle the cornstarch in your hair, let it absorb for a few minutes, brush it out. This is great if you are in a pinch.


Egyptian Honey Hair Treatment
This Honey Hair Treatment was first used by the ancient Egyptians to keep their hair healthy in their severe desert climate.

1-2 cups of honey or molasses
(Adjust amount according to hair length and thickness.

Procedure:
Make sure that honey saturates hair)
Work into hair as you would shampoo.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Leave  on for 20 to30 minutes depending on amount of conditioning needed. 
Wash and style as usual.

Rosemary Hair Rinse
This rinse brings out the shine in darker hair.

1 cup fresh rosemary
2 cups boiling water

Procedure:
Steep rosemary in boiling water for twenty minutes and let cool.
Gently pour liquid over hair and work in.
DO NOT RINSE.
Style as  usual.

Herbal Hair Growth Oil
Any good base oil (sweet almond, coconut, grapeseed, olive)
A handful of Stinging Nettle
A spring of Thyme (dried)
4 drops Rosemary oil
4 drops Lavender oil
4 drops Peppermint oil

Procedure:
Soak or macerate stinging nettle and thyme into a cup of base oil (make sure thatthe oil covers the nettle and thyme, or else the exposed areas will rot) for about two weeks to a month (if you can)
Add eo's to the base oil, and use as a hot oil treatment.
If you use lighter base oils like grapeseed or almond, you can apply to hair since the oils will be light enough.

Lavendar Shampoo
Lavender is an time honored aromatherapy treasure. It soothes an irritated scalp and stimulates the hair follicles. Lavender also aids in relaxation and feelings of well-being.

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup fresh lavender
2 tablespoons of glycerin
1/2 cup Natural Shampoo Base
5 drops of lavender essential oil

Procedure:
Mix water and lavender together into a heavy bottom pot and bring to a boil.
Let boil gently for at least twenty minutes.
Let cool slightly and add basic shampoo mixture and glycerin slowly to herbal mixture.
Mix well.
Pour shampoo into container and let stand for a few days to allow the mixture to thicken.
Use as you would your regular shampoo.

After Shampoo Rinse

Use this recipe right after shampooing and conditioning. It's a great refresher and smells wonderful! The rosemary EO adds in hair follicle stimulation for faster hair growth.

500ml (17fl oz) water
15 drops of rosemary essential oil
12 drops of sandalwood essential oil
7 drops atlas cedar essential oil

Procedure:
Combine the oils then add to water.
After shampooing and conditioning hair, shake bottle to mix and pour over scalp and hair.
Squeeze dry with towel.





Milk Bath
Materials:
Mix one cup regular powdered milk, 1 cup baking soda and 10-15 drops fragrance or essential oil.
Instructions:
For a milk and honey bath, mix in 1/2 cup of powdered honey


Aches & Itches Bath Salts
Materials:
1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup dry milk
1 cup epsom salt
1 cup sea salt
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients together in a large ziploc bag, then its ready to use.

Cinnamon Spice Bath Powder
Materials:
1 cup baking soda
2 tblsp sugar
1 tsp grnd cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cloves

Sprinkle in bath.

Rose Water
2 cups water
1/4 cup vodka
2 cups rose petals

Fill a jar with red rose petals and fill with water, spring water is the best. Then . add vodka. Seal the container and shake well.
Leave in the sun for about 2 weeks then strain.

Bath Cookies
Materials:
2 cups finely ground sea salt
1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup cornstarch
2 tablespoon light oil
2 eggs
5-6 drops essential oil of your choice- chamomile is nice
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Combine all of the above ingredients and then take a generous teaspoon of the dough and form it into a ball! Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes, until they are lightly browned ( do not overbake ). Allow the cookies to cool completely. To Use: Drop 1 or 2 cookies into a warm bath and allow to dissolve. 


Cornmeal & Pumice Foot Scrub
Materials:
1/2 Cup Dry Cornmeal
2 Tablespoons Avocado Oil
1 Pumice Stone
Instructions:
Mix cornmeal and avocado oil. Spread on feet and rub skin with a pumice stone, concentrating on heels and callused areas. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

Exfoliating Foot Mask
Materials:
1/2 C. oatmeal
1/2 C. cornmeal
1/2 C. coarse salt
1/2 C. unscented body lotion
4 T. aloe vera gel
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Slide feet into mixture and rub, beginning at toes, working up to heel and ankle. Do one foot at a time, rinsing in a separate bowl of warm water. Apply moisturizer to dried feet.

Lavender Flower Foot Wash
Materials:
1/2 Cup Dried Lavender Flowers
1/2 Cup Fresh Sage, Finely Chopped
2 Cups Water
8 Drops Lavender Oil
Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine lavender flowers, sage and water and simmer, covered, on low heat for about 20 minutes. Strain mixuture through cheese cloth and let cool. Discard solids. Add lavender oil and pat on feet with a wash cloth. Repeat as necessary.

Rosemary Foot Tonic
Materials:
1 cup of hot whole milk
6 stems and leaves of rosemary
1/2 cup mint leaves
2 teaspoons peppermint extract
Instructions:
In a saucepan, simmer milk, mint and rosemary for 15 minutes, remove from heat and let cool slightly. Strain mixture and pour in peppermint extract. Soak a clean dry cloth with the mixture and wrap cloth around feet. Makes 1 Application. Discard after using.

Herbal Foot Soaks
Materials:
2 Cups Fresh Herbs Or 1 Cup Dried Herbs
2 Gallons Boiling Water
Chose from one or more of the following herbs to custom blend an aromatic bath: Comfrey, elderberry, horsetail, lavender, pine, rosemary & sage
Instructions:
Steep herbs in water for 20 minutes. Strain liquid and pour into a foot basin. Soak feet for 20 minutes and pat dry.

Peppermint & Soy Leg Rub
Materials:
1/2 Cup Soy Oil
4 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil
Instructions:
Combine oils and massage into tired legs. Follow with a warm footbath. Pat dry.

Nighttime Hazelnut & Honey Foot Paste
Materials:
1/4 Cup Hazelnuts or Almonds
1/4 Cup Dry Oatmeal
3 Tablespoons Cocoa Butter
2 Tablespoons Honey
Instructions:
Process nuts in a blender or coffee grinder until coarsely ground. In a bowl, combine oatmeal, cocoa butter, honey and ground nuts. Rub into feet and cover with cotton socks. Leave on overnight. The next morning, remove the socks and rinse feet in cool water.

Strawberry Exfoliant
Materials:
8 Strawberries
2 Tablespoons Of Olive Oil (Or Safflower Oil)
1 Teaspoon Of Kosher Salt
Instructions:
Mix together ingredients And Massage it all into your feet, rinse off and dry.
Other varieties: Add 1/2 teaspoon of finely chopped almonds. Make a paste with the ingredients but don't over blend it since the strawberries contain so much water it will make it too liquidy. Massage it all into your feet, rinse off and dry.

Mint Foot Scrub
Materials:
3 Drops Cajeput
4 Drops Grapefruit
4 Drops Myrtle
4 Drops Spearmint
15ml (1/2 oz) Carrier Oil
Instructions:
Blend together. Add 8 drops in foot bath, swirl water to disperse the oils, insert feet and relax for 15 minutes!

Foot Balm
Materials:
15 g (0.5 oz) beeswax
15 g (0.5 oz) cocoa butter
120 ml (4 fluid oz) sweet almond, apricot kernel or peach kernel oils (or any combination)
15ml (0.5 fluid oz) wheat germ oil (alternatively, use avocado oil or jojoba)
15 ml (0.5 fluid oz) rose water 
Instructions:
For a luxurious, richly moisturizing foot balm add 5 drops each sandalwood essential oil and rose absolute (2 drops). For a refreshing, deodorant balm to make your feet zing, add 5 drops each of lavender and peppermint essential oils!
