Cinnamon-Applesauce Ornaments
Not only are these easy to make, but they're fun as well. The measurements are not really set, all I can say is that you need A LOT of cinnamon and a little applesauce! About 2 cups of applesauce to 4 bottles of cinnamon. Here is what you'll need:

1. 4 bottles of cinnamon
2. About 2-3 cups of applesauce
3. Cookie cutters (stars, moons, x-mas trees, etc)
4. Rolling Pin
5. Thin ribbon
6.
Optional - Nutmeg, Cloves  and/or Ginger

First mix the cinnamon with the applesauce. You will probably need to add more cinnamon to the applesauce - you want the dough be be dark brown and stiff, not runny. You can also add some nutmeg, cloves and/or ginger to give it a different scent. When you get it to the right consistency roll it out with a rolling pin and use cookie cutters to cut shapes, no more than 1/4 inch thick. Also take a straw or other thick point to cut out a hole at the top to string the ribbon through when they are all finished. Christmas themed cutters would be nice to hang on a
Yule tree, or to hang anywhere for the winter season. Then take the cutouts and place them on a cookie sheet in the oven at 200 degrees or lower untill they are hard. It may take an hour or two. When they are done, string ribbon through them and hang in the tree or anywhere else around the house.

These ornaments are really nice smelling and will give the tree a really rustic, country look.
