Clearing Your Mind by Volderini |
Isn't it annoying when you are trying to clear your mind and meditate before you go to bed, practicing a spell, or trying to help yourself find an awnser to a bothersome problem? I think it is. This is why I have come to working on different methods of getting those troublesome ideas, songs, and noises out of your head. When I began studying paganism, the hardest thing for me to do was clear my mind. I would get so fustrated that I would almost give up completely. It would mostly be songs that would stick in my head and really bad ones at that. In this, one day I sat down and began thinking on how to keep my mind clear. It then came to me, distract a distration. For me, this was the best method. That night, I layed down on my bed and closed my eyes, and light up a few candles and began to try to clear my mind. Then, suddenly a song popped in my head. I stopped and imagined this huge record player, and then I took the needle and scratched it over the record to the end of it, then there was silence. It worked! Then, the trick was to hold it, so that it would not come back. I let myseld drift easily into a calm restful state, then it came back to me. So, I settle back onto my pillow and did the same thing, repeating the process, but this time, after I got the needle off the record, I turned it off. The rest of the time I meditated and concentrated on my circle, I had no inturputions. This may not work for all, but it helps and gives you an idea on how to clear your mind abit more easily. For some, it may just come naturally, for some, you may have to just practice on holding it there. For me, distracting with a distraction worked best. It may also be best if before you meditate or begin your circle to ask the spirits to leave the room or to leave you alone, as some may be interfiering with you. I have had that problem numerous time, so asking them to leave and then meditating and putting up your circle may help. Thanks to all who read this.
