Making Herbal Charms
Whenever I do magic, I always incorporate herbs in some way or another. Herbal charms are my favorite way to use herbs in magic. Here is a basic outline on how to construct and use an herbal charm.

First you need a purpose. What kind of spell are you doing? One for love, money, happiness? For this purpose, lets say I make a charm for money. There would be a few things I needed to look up before I started making the charm. First I would pick out the color of the material. Since its for money, I could use green or gold material. Then I would look in one of my books, like Cunninghmas Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs, by Scott Cunningham and see which herbs I could use to bring money to me. Then I would see if I had those herbs. If so, I would go and get them and get the rest of my materials.

Next, I would take a bit of each herb and put it in my morter and pestal and start to grind them up. While grinding them I would infuse them with the appropriate energy. I would envision money coming my way and that the God and Goddess are watching over me, ready to lend a helping hand in my magic.

When I felt that the herbs were properly enfused, I would take a square piece of cloth a few inches long on all sides and place the herbs in the center. Then I would gather the ends and tie it up with a piece of string or ribbon.

See! Its that simple! To use it, I could either carry it around with me in my purse or pocket, hang it in my car or put it under the seat, hide it somewhere in the house or store it in a box somewhere. I would probably carry it around with me so that whenever I felt it I would think about it and since thoughts have power, I would be sending extra energy out into the iniverse everytime I thought about it. Of course I couldnt have any doubts, because if I doubt magic it definatly will not work.
