| Entry 1 - November 5th, 2003 - Decided to start a diary. I have had a bunch before, but lets hope I keep this one! Lets see, what did I do today. Well, I got up at 8:30 to go to math class, then got home around 10:30, ate some ice cream (cookies and cream...mmm....) then went to the post office then to the drug store to get some pop then came home. I was on the computer when I get a call from my sister at school. She said she got hit in the side of the head with a kick ball and temporarily lost hearing in one ear. She asked when my mom was, but she's been cleaning her friends house every wednesday and theres no way to get ahold of her. Oh well, she will just have to suffer through the rest of the day with a sore head. |
| I've been reading a book called Journey into Witchcraft by Starrfire Price (owner of witchesway.net). I ordered it about a month ago and it came in on monday. So far its...well...pretty basic. On her site she says its unlike any other book on Witchcraft, blah, blah, blah, but her descriptions are so short and her ideas not developed all the way. The grammer is pretty bad in some places, and I have come across a few mispellings and punctuation mistakes. That gets really annoying when your trying to read something and you get hung up on grammer and spelling mistakes. I know the book was self published and all, but she could have had someone edit the book better. I'll tell you how the rest of it is when I'm finished. I'm really in the mood for some chips. I need something salty. I'm was going to write an article for a newsletter called Copper Moon (owned by the author Gwinevere Rain) but then I though about writing one for a bigger newsletter. I want to get some of my ideas and such out in the Pagan community, so I'm searching for a good place to do this. I cleaned my room yesterday (yeah!) it was really messy. I went down to work to get some boxes so that I could pack up some stuff that has been laying around for awhile now. I have so much stuff in my room - I just keep buying more and more and more stuff. Like monday, I bought decorations for my Yule tree (expect a page about that under the crafts section soon) and some candle holders, big candle holders and I had nowhere to put it all! I have bags and bags of things to make crafts - wreath materials, woodwoorking stuff and all kinds of other things. So I boxed it up and stored it in my closet. Now my room is all nice and neat. Well, I think I'll go re-arrange my book shelves, thats always fun. -Rowan |
| Entry 2 -November 6th, 2003 - I procrastinate way too much. I had a philosophy and anthropology test today and do you think I could study a bit before hand? No, I saved that for a half hour before the class! Someone please smack me across the head. I have my late class tonite. I hate driving 15 mintues up there at 7:00, staying till about 8:30 then driving home again. Its only once a week but it still sucks. I love my teacher though, literally, lol. I didn't get around to doing any updates for the site, I had to do a stupid paper I forgot to write. I only had a bit of time to do write in here. Ah well..... You know what pisses me off? There is this Pagan club at this one college here (I take one class there but its through my school, and not that college) and I emailed the girl to see if I could still come to the meetings even though I don't really go to that school, and she hasn't emailed me back! Don't give an email address if your not going to check it or bother to write me back....errrr.... Alrighty, time to get going. I still have to stop by work and get my paycheck. | Entry 3 - November 10th, 2003 - I haven't written because I had to dog sit for the weekend. I hate doing it (remind me never to get my own dog) but I make good money, and I do like that! I spend way too much money, I just bought a new CD player, but I still have to pay for car insurance next week. There goes my paycheck. I saw the eclipse sat. night, it was pretty neat. I don't think I've ever seen one before. New Featutre - Back when I had a diary at TOD there was this feature that let ppl leave a note in an entry. So I set one up myself here. If you have anything to say, just leave a comment, its the same thing as a guest book. Hmmm....what else is new.....Nothing really. Today I didn't go to class...I have this horrible habit of not going to my math class, lol....It just seems so wasteful to get up, drive all the way out there at 8:30 for 50 minutes and come back. I slept in till 1:30 instead....felt good to sleep for a change. Anyway, I have some reading to do (trying to read about 3 different books....) I'll write later - Rowan |
| Entry 4 - November 12th, 2003 - Ha! I actually went to school today! And what a waist it was! Just had a review for a test on friday. God I hate math. Lets see, what else did I do....Oh yes, I went to my friend sara's house today. She is in Hungary as an exchange student. She's been there for 2 months already, so her dad called and said to stop over so I could talk to her on the phone. I'm glad I got to talk to her, I have only heard from her on e-mail twice. She's having a great time, but she's having a hard time with the language. I don't blame her! I don't think I've even heard anyone speak Hungarian before. I miss her a bunch. I'm so pissed. I need to write some new stuff for the site but I'm in a creative slump right now. I tried writing something for this newsletter last night but I just wasn't feeling it. It didn't sound right to me. Argh!! I think its time to go searchin through my books for a topic... Hmm....today was really nice out, like 60 F or so, maybe a little warmer. I wanted to go take some pictures, but I dont have my car, my mom has it because her's wont start, so its being fixed now. God I hate when she has to use my car. Its an absolutle mess inside and everytime she gets inside shes yelling for me to clean it up. Well, what if I like it messy? What if I like all those Pepsi bottles and wrappers on the floor? ....Alrights, its just because I'm too lazy to clean it up, the passanger side floor makes a realy nice garbage dump, lol :) I started reading the book "The Wiccan Way" by Rae Beth. I'm a bit dissapointed, all she talks about is prayer, prayer and more prayer. God damn woman, I know how to frickin pray! Talk about Hedge witchcraft a bit more, wont ya? I really wish someone would come up with a book soley on Hedge witchcraft or something..... Oh yeah, my cats pregnant, and she's gonna blow anyday. She's huge! She's also a huge bitch and likes to bite me. I tried feeling her belly but she got pissed, jumped off the table and swapped the dog on the nose on her way down. Her babies will be cute though, shes a long haired black cat with orange spots under her chin and paws. Her fur is really soft too, you get so relaxed just petting her. But God is she nasty! She chases the dogs, bites us and whines all the time. So damn spoiled...... -Rowan |
| Entry 5 - November 13th, 2003 - I really hope its the 13 and not the 14th, that would really screw me up... Anyways, the weather here is terrible. Its snowing and the winds are really strong. I didn't go to school...again...my mom didn't want me driving in it, needless to say I didn't argue over it! However, I do have a test in english tonite, so if it gets better I will go to that class later. I'm just busy inviting people to my new group. You can visit it here. I added a new page to the site on witch bottles. I just need to take a pic of the one I made and I will add that too. mmmm.....coke....I need something to drink. Lets see... what else....oh! My mom cleaned my car last nite, lol! She said there was mold growing in the back, but I dont believe her. I hope she gets her damn car back soon. I want to go buy some books. I should run on over to amazon.com or somewhere and buy some. But then again I have to pay car insurance this friday....Whats one little books gonna cost though, right? I want to buy "Spirit of the Witch" by Raven Grimassi. I also want to buy a ton of others too, and some on astral projection...I've been practicing for the past few days, but I need a really good book on it. Last night I was in a witchy mood so I mixed up some incense and potpourri. Smells good in my room..like roses and lavendar...my favorites. Well better be off now! -Rowan |
| Entry 6 - November 14th, 2003 - I got a raise today! My boss asked me what I made and I told him, and he said that wasn't enough, that I deserved more, so that was awesome. I wonder if he heard from someone that I didn't like working there, I don't think I have told anyone that....hmmm...He also just hired a new girl. She seems nice, I think she starts working next weekend, which means I'll be working with here. He also gave me sat. and sun. night off, which is great. I hate always working the night shift and not the day shift. I work every friday night, 3-9 and then sat. and sun. it always changes, either 9-3 or 3-9. But anyway, my moms friends called he tday and said that she's going to be having this group of women over for the full moons (she practices native american religions and has practices Wicca and I think she just finished her online classes that deals with women's spirituality). So next full moon me and my mom are going there. I have no idea what were gonna do (she had one last sunday, or saturday, but we weren't home when she called). I remember her telling me she was gonna start a group a few years back, I'm glad she's finally doing it. My god my room is freezing!!! I lite candles to warm it up, and that works but its takes awhile to get warm. Stupid heater vent is right next to the door, so the heat goes right out the door! I need to redecorate my altar. It still dressed up for Samhain. I didn't want to change it because it was still Samhain-like outside so it went well with the weather, but now its really cold and dry and it has been snowing lightly. I can't look at those damn pumpkins and gourds on my altar anymore. I feel like going shopping to find some decorations. When Yule comes, I leave the decorations up for a long time. I love dressing it up with evergreens and berries, I love that image. Speaking of Yule, I will probably decorate my Yule tree the day after thanksgiving...I have a bunch of ideas for ornaments. The ones from last year are probably all bad now. I use mostly natural things, like nuts, vines, berries, pinecones, apple-cinnamon ornaments, etc so a lot I had to throw away last year. I need to go collect some acorns and pinecones before it snows and covers the ground. -Rowan |

| Entry 7 - November 16th, 2003 - My computer was being stupid last night so I didn't get to come on and update the site or the group. I'm so tired. I worked eight and a half hours today, when I usually only work six. Six is enough for me, but eight felt like a life time! They keep scheduling me for an eight hour day at least once a weekend and I don't like it. I don't want more hours, I don't want to be there! The asst. manager thinks I don't like it there because I always look at the clock. Well it doesn't matter where I work, I'll still be looking at the clock! I'm a home person, I prefer being at my home more than anyplace. I don't want to be dealing with the public, I just want to be home, reading or working on the site. And I especially hate when I'm working by myself. I like when there's someone working with me so that I get to talk to someone. I get really grumpy when I work all by myelf. Plus I always end up scratching cutting myself at least once a day there. They tell me I'm a great worker (manager says I'm the best store recoverver and tells me to "work my magic" when I'm ther, lol) so Ilm always so damn nice anmd happy, then when one day when Ilm in a bad mood they're all like "whats the matter, are you ok today" like 10 times a day! Can't I have one off day, do I always have to be so nice to everyone, when I really want to tell the customers to F-off? Alright, thats enough venting for one night. I got the first article from a member posted tonite. Its on making a Yule Log by Oracle. I'm gonna see if I can find a log so I can make it. I should start writing my Yule page, I know its gonna take me a long time, the Samhain one took me awhile and theres a lot of historical info I want to cover in the Yule page. I bought a new book on Ebay the other day. It called 'The Magickal Life' by Patricia Crowther. I only paid 7 bucks for it all together, shipping included. Pretty good buy. | Entry 8 - November 17th, 2003 - It's a nice wet, foggy day here so I thought I'd go take some pictures..... in where? You guessed it, the cemetary! Its so neat to see how things change, like just one week ago there were still some leaves on the trees and now they are bare. I took some pics, but couldn't find any really good shots. I wish my camera could capture the real beauty that I see there, its really amazing how lovely it looks with the bright green, wet, grass and the dark dirt road with fog hovering around everything. I want to get a really nice camera so I can take better pics. I was looking at a stump down there and thought it would be neat if I took some of my supplies, like a candle, cauldron, my wand, stones and such and propped them on the stump to make an altar or something. I wouldn't use it, I would just take a picture of it. Theres all these neat little places I could set things up in and take pics. I just don't want the cemetary guy (he cleans up and weatches over the cemetary) to come by and yell at me, lol. When I was there, there was only one othr person down there. Part of the cemetary is down on a hill side, so from the road you can't see some spots, plus its big and there are a lot of trees so you're not easily spotted there. So maybe I'll go back down and take some pics later today, depends on if it decideds not to rain later. -Rowan |

| Entry 9 - November 19th, 2003 - I put my x-mas (or should I say Yule) tree up the other night. I was all in the Yule mood so I put on a Loreena McKennitt CD (To Drive the Cold Winter Away, an excellent CD!) and decorated the tree. I use mostly natural items, like pinecones, acorns, fake apples and pears, cinnamon-applesauce ornaments in the shapes of moons, leaves and little trees, and I have some sparkly snowflakes on it, little red bows, cinnamon sticks and gold ribbon wraped around it and grapevines wraped around it. I put a ton of white lights on it too. Expect an article and pic of how to make a Yule tree to appear on the site soon. It's a rainey day today, but its actually pretty warm. I wonder when its gonna start to snow. Usually around this time its snowed already. HAHAHAHA!! I just remembered something. Last night my mom had to go to a wake because someone's dad died or something so I went along with her. Well we were early so she said she was gonna pull into a grocery store to put on some lipstick and get something to drink before we went. Well shes just driving along and she pulls into the store, but she misses the driveway and pulls right through the front lawn! I didn't know untill I felt the car bumping around. Then my mom was like, all calmly "Oh, I just went over the grass!" I look back and there were tire tracks going through the front grass. I laughed so hard! I couldn't stop, even like a half hour later everytime I thought about it I cracked up laughing. Good times. -Rowan |

| Entry 10 - November 21st, 2003 - Last night when I walked out of school around 8, I saw this little kitty in the parking lot. I called him over to me but he was real hesitant at first, he just kept meowing and walking away. Finally he came to me and let me pet him. After that he was very lovey and friendly. So I just patted him on the head and told him to go home before he gets smushed by a car. But he followed me. When I opened my car he jumped right in. I wasn't sure if he was a stray, or if he lived near by. His fur was a bit dirty and coarse, but he looked like he was being fed. I petted him for about 10 minutes in the car, he just sat in my lap and purred. I didn't know what to do with him - when I put him back outside he just jumped right back in. I called my mom but she was like "absolutely not! We can't have another cat! We have 5 kittens we need to get rid of, and even if we take this one it will be hard to find a home for him because not a lot of people want older cats." I wanted to take him home real badly, but I thougt what if he did have a home. I would be stealing someones cat, lol! There are apartments near by, so maybe he belonged so someone there. He was just so cute and friendly, you could tell he just wanted someone to sit with him and pet him for awhile. Poor little guy. Finally I put him in the lawn and had to scare him away so he wouldn't follow me. Before he kept going under my car so I couldn't leave, lol. If I see him again, I told my mom I was gonna scoop him up and take him home. Yeah, I met my step-mom's boyfriend last night (her and my father are divorced, I don't talk to my father but I talk to her. Yeah its a weird situation). He's actually pretty cute! I was shocked because my step-mom's a big lady and he's....well not, lol. I didn't expect that. My brother (half brother who is six) got all excited that I visited them. I don't get to see him as much as I would like. We wrote out a Christmas list (every item had to do with that cartoon Yu-Gi-Oh, lol). Hmm...there are two new members to the site, Gem and Bill. I'm pretty happy that people have joined. I'm getting really good articles, so keep up the good work people! lol! - Rowan |

| Entry 10 continued...11:29 pm. Ok, so I figured it made more sense to have the newest entries at the top, so people wouldn't have to scroll all the way down to the bottom. I have to work at 3 tomorrow. There's a new girl starting tomorrow too. I met her last week, she seemed pretty nice. They better train this one right. The last time we had someoen new, they didn't tell her what we do at night after we close, so I had to tell her everything. Not that I minded, but still, they should have been the ones to do it. I got out of work at 9:00 and was craving a sub, so I ordered one, hehe...! Tomorrow I'm going grocery shopping. I'm dog-sitting all next week (why did I agree to do this?) The people are like health food junkies. All they ever have in their house is water and pretzels...Now come on, I can't live off water and pretzels for a week! Now Pepsi and peanut butter and fluff sandwiches I could, lol! I'll have to remember to bring that stuff sunday. |
| Tonite work was boring. I was on register (finally!) I was told to try to sell 6 pillows (for the holidays we're having a certain item that we have to try to sell, tonite it was pillows!) I sold 5 out of 6, and believe me I hate doing this! I have to say "Would you be interesting in buying a pack of two pillows for 5 dollars?" God....most people just look at me and are like '"Um....no....why?" Stupid work..... -Rowan |

| Entry 11 - November 22nd - Don't really have much to say tonite, I should be sleeping seeing that I have to get up at 8:00 tomorrow and its 12:44 pm now. I have to dog-sit this week, so I'm gonna try to get home everyday to check the site and the group and write in my diary. I'm not looking forward to this. The dog gets up at 5:00 in the morning to go pee, then has to go again at 7:00 and about 5 more times throughout the day! At least I'll get paid good. Just one more day of work this week, thank god. But I'm working Thanksgiving, which sucks. But thats more money too, lol. I am so sick of working...I wish I was really rich, then I wouldn't have to work anymore. The asst. manager said she wants me to start working 8 hour shifts, and was gonna start talking to the manager about it. I was just thinking "NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DON'T WANT TO WORK ANYMORE HOURS!" I hope she forgets to say something to him!! |
| I went out to eat with my friend Kaydie after work. I had those yummy garlic chicken wings....mmmmmmm...those are so good. I only eat chicken, so I usually get chicken fingers or chicken wings when I go out. I haven't really talked to her in awhile, so we caught up on everything that was going on with our friends who are off to college. I don't get to talk to a lot of people from school anymore, so I got to catch up on all the gossip, which was especially juicy, hehehe.... Other than that my day was blah. I went grocery shopping and couldn't find sweet and sour sauce ANYWHERE nor could I find Laughing Cow cheese to go along with my french bread. When I was 16, I went to France and got addicted to French Bread and Laughing Cow cheese, lol. Alrighty, I'm going to bed now. -Rowan |
| Entry 12 - November 25nd - It snowed yesterday! The first time this winter. Usually it has snowed already at this time but this year it hasn't. I went to go take some pictures today but by the time I got to the cemetary the snow pretty much melted :( I didn't go to school today, just got up and didn't feel like going. I've been dog-sitting these past few days so thats why I haven't updated the site or my diary. I usually come home for about an hour a day to check email and the group, then I have to go back. It is soooooo boring at their house! All I do is watch tv and I never watch tv. I brought two books with me, 'The Wiccan Way' by Rae Beth (I think thats what it's called) and.....one by Marian Green....I can't remember the title. So far the one by Rae Beth sucks, but I hope the one by Marian Green is better. I'm still waiting for my book to come that I bought on Ebay. |
| I wish I had more time, I have pages that I want to add to the site. I also want to take some more pictures to change the one on the front page. Maybe I'll put up a pic of my little kitty...he's so cute! I have a pic of him in my cauldron....lol. My cousin is sleeping over tonite. We're gonna rent a movie, I want to see 'Bruce Almighty' really bad, I love Jim Carrey. I also want to see 'Dumb and Dumberer.' Hopefully I can figure out their dvd player - theres like 5 remotes and 4 different hookups I will have to monkey with. I couldn't even get the vhs player to work last night! I hate sleeping at other peoples houses. I like to be in my own bed. I should get going. I wanted to re-decorate my altar before I left and set up a new shrine, but I don't think thats happening! -Rowan |

| Entry 13 - November 29th - Yes I'm still alive! Tonite I get to come home, finally. That means I will have lots of time to update the site on monday and possibly some time tomorrow. I really need to update. Well, I decided to quit my job. After Christmas break I'm going to give my two weeks notice. I'm going to start cleaning two houses, which will give me enough money to pay off my bills (which isn't much, I only need to come up with $190 a month). I'm excited, but I'm scared to quit! My boss is going to be so pissed. Last night I was 'talked to' about the checks I write out. We're suppose to put their phone number, license number, expiration date, etc on each check, but I wasn't writing it in the right spot!!! I've been working there for over 3 months and they just tell me now that I'm not doing it right! God I hate that place. Oh and I cut my thumb yesterday too, that makes about 8 times in 3 months. |
| So yeah, I'm a little ticked off with work. I have to go in tonite and tomorrow. Not looking forward to it. Blah.....I feel like crap today. I think I'll work on the site a bit more then order some food or something. -Rowan |
