Spell Boxes
I actually came up with this idea while looking around the craft department of Wal-mart! I had seen those paper-mache boxes, but I never knew what I could do with them. Then it hit me, I could put material for a spell in them!

The box in the pictures is small - about 3 inches wide. This is the perfect size. You dont want to use one thats any bigger because you dont want it to take up much room. You can find these little boxes in all kinds of shapes and sizes, at any craft store or craft department. Sometimes they have little designs on them too. The nice thing is that they are inexpensive too, this one cost $.69!

After you pick out the box you want, you'll have to figure out what kind of spell it will be used for. The one in the picture was painted for a love spell (I'm not actually doing a love spell, it was just made as an example! LOL!) So if you were doing one to attract love in your life, you would paint it with colors, symbols and images that remind you of love. Get creative with these - roses, hearts, doves, lace - all those things could be painted on them to symbolize love. In the picture, I painted the bottom a light purple and the top off-white with a red heart and small dark purple dots. Red and purple remind me of love, as do hearts. While painting them, infuse them with loving energies.

When its all dry, then its time to use it. Inside you would place herbs that symbolize love - see the
Herbal Grimoire for herbs. You would also put in a written slip of paper trhat states exactly what you want, as well as some stones or crystals that draw love. Dont forget to cleanse and consecrate these items first! Put whatever you want in the box, as long as it symbolizes your goal. Then you can either hide it somewhere, or put it on your altar untill the spell manifests. When your done with it, you could burn or bury the contents, or you could burn or bury the whole thing - make sure you burn it in a bonfire outside, not in a cauldron inside!!!
