Materials: -two-inch wide scraps of material -thread -strong needle (one for upholstery is good) The way this rug is used depends on the intention; you can braid a wish into it, or a quality. I have used the quality of creativity as an example. First, if you can, choose thread & fabric colors that correspond to your goal. -creativity rug: white, yellow, blue, etc. Knot three of the strips together at the top (they should be the same length). Begin braiding them. When you get to the end, sew a new strip onto each piece and continue. As you are doing this, visualize your wish manifesting or the rug being empowered with the quality. - creativity rug: I visualized a yellow mist seeping into the fabric When you reach the very end, knot the bottom. You should have a long, thick braid. Now, begin to curl around itself, in a tight spiral. Use the needle and thread to sew each layer to the next. When you are done, you will have a circular rug. There are many different ways to use this; you can pull it out and sit on it while you visualize your goal manifesting, and many other things. - creativity rug: pull it out to sit on (or stand) to write, draw, paint, etc. Also, if you want to give it a little extra power, and help it to stay put on the floor; you can try using puff paint to add symbols and pictures to the bottom. When it is dry, set it with the painted side down, and it will help it to grip the floor (if you have hardwood, tile, etc.). |
