Cedar and Pine Yule Candle Holders
Supplies:

One foam disk (any craft store, or florist shop)
Small candle
Scissors
Wire
Pieces of pine and cedar

The first thing you must do is see how thick the foam disk is. The one I bought was about 3 inches thick, so I had to cut it in half. You can just use scissors to do this since the foam is soft enough. Then place your candle in the middle of the disk and trace the outline with a pencil or scissors. Cut out the place with scissors where the candle will go. This makes it so the candle sits nicely into the foam and won't fall over. Once you have the disk ready (should be about one inch think) you can start cutting small pieces of pine and cedar. You will need a bunch of small pieces to make it look full. Then cut a bunch of 2 inch long pieces of wire. The wire should be thin and easy to bend, I bought green florists wire in a craft store. Now take a piece of pine or cedar and wrap the stem with the wire, making sure that some of the wire is coming off the end of the stem. Then take that piece and stick it into the top surface of the foam disk. You want to keep doing this, going in a circle, untill you have pine and cedar stuck all over the foam disk.

Once you finish, light the candle and place it on your Yule altar for a nice addition to your Yule ritual.
