Over the past 3 years we have celebrated many national days and try to mark every significant occasion with a special menu and themed evening.We have already celebrated several very successful Australia Days and Australian themed nights with barbeques and quizzes as well as drawings provided from the local school.
We now host 2 or 3 banquets every year, one in the Summer and one at Christmas and we are planning on including another one into our schedule this year, due to the success of our previous three banquets.
Our Mediaeval Banquet was a great success with hog roast provided by Purton Roasters, mediaeval stocks and a mediaeval mock castle. Following this we hosted a Masked Banquet last Summer with hog roast and platters of salmon, tartlets, prawns and many other delights as well as morris dancers providing entertainment, whilst food was served up.
Our Christmas Banquet was on the theme of Mistletoe & Wine and included Jugs of Mulled Wine and Warm Apple and Cinnamon, a leg of lamb to each table and hot accompaniments from our buffet.The picture at the top of this page shows customers dining at our Black Tie & Tiaras Christmas Ball 2004. There was music provided by a jazz and blues duo and dancing later in the evening. This year we hope to host a Murder Mystery Ball with hog roast. Details to be confirmed.
