Where the heck are the Burnetts?

One of the first questions we asked after being offered a job was, "Great, Singapore....where is that?"  Being that I was hired as a history teacher, this question probably didn't impress my boss too much.   If your geographical knowledge is anything like ours, it might help to know where exactly in the world we are.
Singapore is in Asia.  Asia is one of the seven continents of the world and it is very big.  People who live in Asia are called Asians.  See all that land...we don't live there.  We live at the bottom of the map.    We live right above where it says Indonesia.
If you run your finger down the country of Malaysia, you'll see a dot.  For the first time in our lives, we live on a dot.  The picture to the right might be a little clearer.  History lesson: Singapore used to be part of Malaysia and it was called Malaya.  It became a country about 30 years ago.  It is an important country now.  I like it.  Singapura means "City of the Lion".
And here is our little island connected by the causeway, a bridge about the size of the Golden Gate, but not nearly as attractive.

OK...so where do we live in Singapore?
