Saipan
Large files - takes time to load
I'd like to show you a little bit of where I grew up. I have not had time
to scan my own photos of so I downloaded some of these from websites
of the island. Saipan's main industry is Toursim so as you might guess these
are professional taken photos from some of their tourism sites.
Saipan is one of a group of islands know as the Northern Marianas Islands.
For those of you familar with Guam. It is north of Guam and about 20 minutes
away by plane. You can see from the map above that geographically
speaking we're are in the same general location as Philippines and Japan.
Saipan is also located directly above Sydney, Austrialia but above
the equator. It is therefore in the exact time zone as Sydney.
Saipan is a small island with a land area of only 46.5 sq mi. and has beaches
everywhere. A beach is never more than 10 to 15 minutes away, you can
see why I miss the beach so much.

Managaha Island, is a small island located in the middle of one of Saipan's
lagoons. It's basically just a beach area. It's so small, that you can
walk around it in about 20 minutes.
