If you're lucky, someday we may show you pictures. Those Hatchet Rydas that didn't go spent a chill holiday with family and friends, old-school style. No matter what we did, though, we got rested and relaxed. We're now ready to put in another year of droppin' bombs and splittin' wigs. So with that said, let's get started. The first piece of new-year news is the release of the V Sinizter album Hunting Season. This is the kid that won the MC Contest at last year's Gathering. The prize for that contest was an album dropped on Psychopathic. So, here it is. Jumpsteady gives it two thumbs up, so you know it's straight. The next piece of news is a firm release date for Zug Izland's full-length debut Cracked Tiles. This hits the store two weeks from today, January 28th. If you liked the "Fire" single (and who didn't, really?), then be sure to check out this bad lad when it hits our shelves. That's all for now, just a brief little update. PURPLE SHOW just a reminder that the 3rd episode of The Purple Show is coming tomorrow ZUG IZLAND Guido, Zug Izland's beloved and mysterious bassist, has left the band after over a year of dedicated service due to his current medical condition. In April of 2002 Guido was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The band canceled their shows with Twiztid on the Mirror Mirror tour to stay and support their friend and comrade as he regained his health. After extensive surgery and radiation treatment, the tumor has largely subsided, but unfortunately Guido now requires constant medical medication and treatment to keep his condition in check. This is rather taxing on an individual, and the lifestyle of a rock band is too demanding for his current medical condition. With Zug Izland's tour with King's X kicking off in early February, Guido felt he could not maintain the rigorous pace of touring, and hence has resigned from the band. Syn, Mike P, and everyone else in Zug Izland has always supported and stood behind Guido, especially in his times of need. To Zug, Guido has been and always will be family. He has been a significant part of the band from the start, and although he may not be able to be in the band anymore, his spirit will live on in every song Zug Izland performs. Guido wanted to say that he has truly appreciated the love and support all the Zuggalos have given him over the last year, from shouts and cheers on stage to emails and get-well-cards during his hospital stay. He also says don't be surprised to see him making appearances at some of the big Psychopathic and Zug Izland events. well, that's it MFL |
