Born as Yafeu Fula, Yaki Kadafi grew up in the streets of New Jersey.
Tupac was Kadafi's Godbrother, and some say he was his cousin. All
I know is that his mother and Afeni were really close. When Tupac
went to jail, Kadafi and Hussein Fatal were the ones who visited daily.
So Tupac got them to become the first Outlawz. From a member of Dramacydal,
Killa K was now an Outlaw. It was thanks to Kadafi that most other
Outlawz were introduced. Napolean, Noble, and Fatal were all introduced
by Kadafi, since Yak, Fatal and Noble lived on the same block. Kadafi
knew Pac since he was a child.
The more Kadafi rapped, the more agrressive approach he took to the
game. He spat venomous lyrics, alongside his agressive flow. He was
later compared; lyrics-wise, to the great Eazy E, and sometimes even
Tupac's. Him and Edi were known to always be writting lyrics wherever
they went, and they adopted that method from the great Makaveli. He
was one of the most faithful Outlaw members. Him and Fatal were Suge's
favorite Outlaw members, but nobody really knows if Tupac had a favorite
Outlaw. The reason Suge favored Kadafi and Hussein was they were always
the first to attack. Whenever Pac wanted to ride on some bytches on
a track, Kadafi and Fatal would always put they hands up and take
it upon themselves to diss them the way they wanted. Hitemup is a
perfect example. They came hard with they lyrics on that, and hence
found themselves the first Outlawz rapping on that song. But Kadafi
was much more than just venomous lyrics. Like Tupac, he had the ability
to touch others with his lyrics. Not many possess such skill at the
moment, not even the Lawz, even though Napolean is known currently
to do such a thing. His faithful lyrics were unmatched, For instance
the verse in Who do You Believe in is just a miraculous verse. his
original lyrics on Hell 4 a Hustla were also on top of most of the
Lawz. He made the verse " oh ALLAH, help me change my ways, show
a little mercy on Judgement Day". But since somebody made Pac
change that to "Oh LORD...", Kadafi refused to have any
further input in the development of that song. He also starts off
other religious songs like Black Jesus 1 and 2.
When Tupac died, Kadafi was the only Eye-witness that came forward.
When Pac died, the Lawz were badly hurt. But I thought they could
move on because they still had Yak. He had the lyrics to accelerate
the Lawz in the game, even after the death of the legendary Makaveli.
But just before Kadafi was to have an interview with Police, Kadafi
was shot. Now a lot of people base this on the theory that Suge killed
Pac. But I think that that's bullshit. It was later confirmed that
a cousin of Napolean was the one who ended Kadafi's life. He was deceased
at the age of 19, left for all his homeboyz to see.You can read the
full-length article on Kadafi's death by clicking here.
May Allah Bless his soul.
Tupac chose his name after the Libyan Colonel Mu'mmar Qadafi. In one
of the Outlawz interviews they state that "Kadafi
was another name that 'Pac picked. I think that there were little
physical things in everybody that made 'Pac give them the names. With
Kastro, it was the goatee. Kadafi, it was the head. Kadafi's
hair was real wild and curly. We picked these names because they
were all enemies of America."
Kadafi has featured in many, many Tupac songs released, and unreleased,
that's why Darryl from 2pac-outlawz.com has made it
easier for y'all by remixin all his verses and puttin' it into one
12 minute long track. Sounds real dope!
So I suggest y'all click
