| WEDICO TRUCKS: tips for beginners | ||||||||||||

Building a truck model is a fascinating hobby. As you will spend several months to fully assemble the model, it make sense to spend some time to choose your favorite truck. With more than 20 years of experience, german manufacturer WEDICO is perhaps the best know name in truck modelling. A full size catalog with plenty of colour picture offers wide range of configurations: rigid trucks fitting bodies like flatbeds,tanks, coffers or even truck tractors for use with many differents semitrailers or the interesting crane body.
All chassis are build with aluminium profiles, stainless steel spring suspensions and rubber tires. WEDICO trucks can be upgraded with a wide range of options, like drive kits (12V motor, gearbox and differentials) complete electrical kits and diesel sound modules, allowing to build a full remote control operated truck model. With Mercedes, Volvo, Man, freightliner and Peterbilt cabs everyone can choose his favorite manufacturer: U.S trucks with sleeper cab could be a smart buy as the additional available room inside the sleeper will make things easyer for beginners.  Forse la cosa piu' difficile...č scegliere un modello! Con piu' di venti anni di esperienza nel settore, il costruttore tedesco WEDICO č probabilmente il nome piu' conosciuto dai 'Truck Modellers' . Il grande catalogo a schede con centinaia di foto a colori propone camion di molte marche (Volvo, Mercedes, MAN, Peterbilt, Freightliner) e ognuno puo' scegliere il suo costruttore preferito.Per gli 'italianisti' ci sono anche ditte artigianali che producono cabine IVECO da montare sui telai Wedico. Un ulteriore scelta č fra camion con telaio rigido a due o tre assi e motrici con semirimorchio. Per entrambi avremo a disposizione sovrastrutture di ogni genere (cisterne, pianali, container, ecc.) oltre all'interessante carro attrezzi con braccio gru che puo' essere montato direttamente su una motrice con ralla ( vedi il link WRECKER qui sopra). |

| Nella foto qui sopra, un telaio professionale wedico in fase di allestimento: il serbatoio montato sulla destra del telaio contiene il regolatore di velocitā elettronico. Una soluzione pratica ed elegante.La Ralla in alluminio per l'accoppiamento con il semirimorchio puo' essere telecomandata, consentendo sgancio e aggancio a distanza.Il modello raffigurato monta il 'Drive kit' standard, con un motore Buhler a 12V. e un riduttore che trasmette il movimento al differenziale posteriore tramite un albero di trasmissione e due giunti a sfera. |
