The early residents had a great community spirit and worked together to improve the town's facilities. Most will remember the early construction days when most of the town looked like this: The Tieri residents of the 80's took great pride in their town, the average age of which was 12 years old! Colorful gardens and Parks were quickly established, and residents worked together to establish many sporting and community organisations including the Girl Guides and the Scouts Associations.
