Pee Wee's Big Adventure

When Pee Wee's beloved bicycle is stolen he is forced to trek cross-country to locate it. Along the way he meets several interesting characters including a waitress and her Bluto-like boyfriend, a pack of bikers, Large Marge, and an escaped convict with a bad temper.

Excerpt from Burton on Burton: ""I was just waiting around, and there was this woman at Warner Brothers, Bonnie Lee, she was sort of a friend, and she brought me to the attention of the people over there and I got the Pee-Wee movie fairly easily....Bonnie showed Frankenweenie to the Warner Bros. people. They showed it to Paul Reubens and the producers of the movie, and it was like, 'do you want to do this movie?' and I said, 'yeah.' It was great. It was perfect, because I liked the material, and I felt very comfortable that I would be able to support it because Paul's character was so strong. He was Pee-Wee."
