Daggerfall: Favorite Cities

I am sure that everyone has a city (or a few cities) that they hang around in more than others, at least while not on main storyline quests. I have listed my picks for "best city" along with the criteria that I used. I have yet to find my "perfect" city, but I keep travelling around trying to find it.

My Favorite Cities

I am sure that everyone has a city (or a few) that they hang around more than the other cities. This is only natural, because otherwise you would always be exploring.

However, why do you stay in that city? Good food? High or low quality shops? Lots of guilds?

I have attempted to list some of the cities that I like the best, and why I like them. I have not found the perfect city; mine would have a Mages Guild, a Thieves Guild, a Bank, some "shopping malls" (clusters of shops) for good thieving at night, a "rusty relics" pawnshop to sell goods for the best price, and close to the water for quick access to the mainline quest cities. Daggerfall comes close, except for those ghosts.

Anyway, my "favorite cities" so far are:

Notes:

Chesterwark has a shopping mall with a no-defect armorer across from a no-defect weapon shop. I usually load up until full, then walk to Newtower, which has a "shoddy" pawn shop, where I sell everything.
Newcester has a shopping mall on the E side, with a General/3 S, Armor/4 SE, and Weapon/4 N. The General store is open before and after the others.
This is the only town in Dak'fron with a Mages Guild; if you get to be a Master Wizard, you can teleport for free from a Mages Guild, but you need one on the receiving side to get back.
Newtower is a 1-hour walk from Chesterwark (see 1 above)
Stokham has a "no defect" Mages Guild; this is useful if you need to buy a specific spell (Sleep) or are looking for better magic items.
The only town in Dak'fron with a Fighter's Guild?
