Shining In The Darkness

Review Review
Shining In The Darkness was simply breathtaking when it was first released, and it holds up well even after all this time. As one of the finest RPGs for the Sega Genesis, it deserves status as a true classic. While a "dungeon crawl" may not thrill every gamer, Shining In The Darkness is among the best of the genre and has a lot to offer for those who dare to enter. For more about what I think about this game check out the full review.

Maps Maps
Having some trouble navigating the Labyrinth? Have no fear. With this complete set of maps for every nook and cranny of the dungeon, finding Dark Sol should be no problem. However, take your time and build up your characters or else Dark Sol will send you running back to your mommy with tears in your eyes!

Monsters Monsters
These are the beasts standing between you and Dark Sol. They don't plan on making your journey easy, so you might want to find out a little bit about them. Who's worth fighting and who isn't? I'll tell you how much experience and gold you'll receive for each victory, but the rest is left for you to discover!

Items Items
Unless you plan on defeating Dark Sol and his minions with your bare hands, wearing only your undies, you're going to need some equipment and items. Check out these lists so you can spend your money wisely and get the most out of that mithril you've been hoarding.

Magic Magic
While I prefer bashing my way through an RPG using brute strength alone, others like to play with magic. Your two companions, Pyra and Milo, have knowledge of these arts. Find out what they can do, and when they will learn each spell.

Extras Extras
Here are some odds and ends which don't fit into any of the above categories. Some game playing tips from yours truly, which may help an adventurer or two. Not that I consider myself an expert, because there are still several questions I still have about the game. And finally, a few Shining In The Darkness links, including sites which provide hints and even a complete walkthrough if you need one.
