A heavy jet-engined transport helicopter, manufactured
in France. The prototype flew for the first time in December 1962. The
first helicopter which was delivered to the Israeli Air Force was in April
1966. During the Six Day War and War of Attrition they participated in
various missions of transporting fighters, deep penetrations over the enemy
forces and the resque of pilots and fighters.
