Carlie Brucia was kidnapped in Sarasota by a madman. It
occurred in back of a carwash as it was getting dark. The car wash is located along Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota, next to a miniature golf course and driving range. The car wash is a long distance from the families home. Susan Candiotti of CNN was one of the reporters on the scene. There were big media vehicles everywhere. The child's house is along McIntosh Rd, and it is decorated with signs from well wishers and deputy sheriff's. Many cars slow down to get a look. Two people sat in front of the house, one heavy with a beard, another with long black hair with arms covered with tattoos.
An auto mechanic with a long history of arrests was named as a suspect in the disappearance of 11-year-old Carlie Brucia, who was abducted behind a Evie's Car Wash Feb. 1st, 2004 and has not been seen since. Smith has a very long criminal record, including an arrest for another abduction. Carlie Brucia's stepfather, Steve Kansler, stated he had little comfort in Smith's arrest. "Until my daughter's with me, I won't be satisfied," he said. "When I have my daughter, I'll be happy." Smith should burn to death, which was the way a child molester in Sayville ended up.
Her body was found in the Pinecraft Amish section of Sarasota. It is the Florida equivalent of Lancaster County Pennsylvania. Another unusual place is Sayville. Instead of Amish, Sayville has witches. |
