According to an old story floating around, the way the Mary's Grave urban legend got started in Sayville was by a dare from one of the kids in the village. She was buried in one of the creepy cemeteries in town, next to a swamp. Supposedly there were fresh flowers and they say one of the kids said, "Go and take the flowers from her grave, and give it to your mother." So according to the story, the kid went over there and did just that. His mother was very happy with him, especially since when she would give him presents he would take it and break it as soon as he got it. It is said that is how it is said the Mary's Grave urban legend got started in Sayville and from then on in kids go there at midnight as part of a dare, the story spreading far and wide.

Mary's Grave Movie Colors Color scheme used in the movie is purple and gold, even lightning. The typeset is similar to the one used by the Sayville yearbooks. Just like Sayville's! Compare start of Mary's Grave to the start  of "Sabrina the Teenage Witch." The Harts from Sayville own and produced the show. Almost identical!

After a few minutes the former Sayville High School football hero linebacker of his graduating class walled down the staircase wearing only shorts. He said, "Hi" and said to Charlie, "We have a girl upstairs, you can go up there and give her a try if you want." Charlie was in shock and just say looked forward with a puzzled smile on his face while the football hero made a sandwich. Eventually the girl walked down the staircase with the older brother's other friend. She looked absolutely fabulous, something out of Playboy magazine with a short skirt. She told the former football hero that she had a really great day with him and his friend, and she left her phone number with him saying, "If you ever want to go out, be sure to call me."

What was most outrageous about the incident was that they were using the bed of the ex-quarterback's parents. The mother was very religious and she considered the marital bed a special, sacred place. The ex-quarterback friend that lived there was not a home, but gave keys to his friends.

The two of them always had plenty of hot girls, and it was assumed it was because they were ex-big football heroes in High School. Later in their lives, the two of them went to work for Charlie. The three lived in an apartment and they often lined up girls for Charlie the loser.

It was then that it was  found out that it was not that they were so good with women, it was they were paying for it!

In the late 1970s a woman with a 5 year daughter made a living by servicing women's husbands. The daughter would listen to what was going on from the other room. An eyewitness said, "Something should be done about that woman."

One midnight three friends were searching Sayville for girls. They search high and low and ended up at the topless bar that was shaped like a triangle near the LIE on Veteran's Memorial Highway. They met up with Charlie at the bar. A kid they recognized was right up in front checking out the girl, chair backward, beer in hand hollering and having a great time. So Charlie said that he heard a couple of prostitutes lived in one of the apartments above the Irish Bar on Railroad Ave.

The group at about two AM went to the bar. The four walked up the staircase to the upstairs apartments. Two ran away, but two knocked on the door. A man answered the door with a baseball bat! Behind him was his wife, and one said, "We heard a prostitute lives here." He said no.

Then two of them, without Charlie, tracked down where the hookers were. Later they found the person that told Charlie the story in another bar, and he laughed saying he made it up!
