Lido began in 1947, and produced a variety of plastic toys. Their soldier line began production around 1951. Most of their figures are cheaper copies of other companies' products. The company was sold in 1954, and most of their molds melted. The few remaining ones were used by the Joy Toy company in the 1970's, and currently belong to Strombecker (Tootsie Toy).
