Tinian holds a wide stretch of white sands, archaic caves and historical past embracing secrets of yore.  Enjoy some of the colorful sights and culture of Tinian!

The Blowhole is one of the main attractions on Tinian.  The volcanic rock form caves which sea water bursts through. Surges can reach as high as 20 ft. high.

The Polynesian White Plumeria, a magnificent flower which has very large flower clusters and a brilliant golden center and wide, round and overlapped petals, can be found all over Tinian. The scent of the plumeria is sweet and very distinct.  Many young girls love to place the flower behind their ear, on the right side for "single" and on the left for "married."

Located near Kammer Beach, the Well is the remains of the old Chamorro Village.

This beach, situated within a 7-minute walking distance from Tinian Dynasty, is the most famous in the Pacific for its pristine waters and white sands

"Tronkon At'but" in Chamorro, the Flame Tree is otherwise known around the world as the Royal Poincianas and belongs to the pea family, Leguminosae.  It is the National Tree of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.  An annual "Flame Tree Festival" during the height of its blooming in May is a favorite among locals and visitors alike.  The flame tree blooms in early summer and can last until Christmas.

Legend has it that a strong and noble Chamorro Chief by the name of Taga, leader of the ancient village of Sunharon, carried the big rocks from the shore what is known today as Taga Beach, to build the largest stone house in the Marianas.  Tinian is also one of the few places to see the remains of the Taga or Latte Stones still standing today.

This hut located at the Tinian seaport is entirely made of natural materials.  Nearby, a bougainvillea vine plant sits prettily.  The bougainvillea is named after its discoverer, Louis de Bougainville.  The bougainvillea is very common in the Northern Marianas, and there are many varieties and colors found.

Tinian Beach is perhaps one of Tinian's best-kept secrets.  It's dirt roads and tree-hidden area make it hard to find.  Here, a hidden swimming hole awaits the frolicking of local kids on summer vacation.

A warm "Hafa Adai" sign welcomes visitors to Tinian at the entrance of San Jose Village, the main village on Tinian.  In the background, a cautionary 25-miles-per-hour sign for drivers reminds us of the sleepy and idyllic pace on this island paradise.

The Bell Tower is the remains of the San Jose Church that was built in 1956.  It remains standing with the new church, rebuilt in 1998.  This is the religious and social center of Tinian.
