Organizational History:

1 May, 1920: Renamed 'The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada', from, '2nd Regiment, Queen's Own Rifles of Canada'.
24 May, 1940: Regiment was mobilized, and the active battalion 'The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada (C.A.S.F.)' was assigned to 8th Infantry Brigade.
12 May, 1942: A third (active) battalion '3rd Battalion, The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada' was raised, and assigned to 20th Infantry Brigade.
1 June, 1945: A 4th Battalion was organized for the C.A.O.F.
30 November, 1945: The active battalion was disbanded.
14 May, 1946: The 4th Battalion was disbanded.
