| JULY 31st 2001 Railfan Report |
| The plan for the day was to head over to the Corinth, Mississippi area to record some of the last NS operations over the ex-IC Birmingham line before operations are handed over to the West Tennessee Railroad. The goal was met and the day proved to be very good for railfaning in general. Special thanks to Tracy Bullard for showing me around Corinth and providing the train lists below. Sorry, we forgot to write down exact times but the trains are in the order that we viewed them starting at 8:45am. |

| 9:25AM Corinth, MS. Train: A87 The Sheffield AL. to Jackson TN. local arrives at Corinth yard. NS 3317 NS 2844 PRR 3402 WTNN 3172 |
| Included in the trains consist is West Tennessee B23-7 3172 in route to its new owners at Jackson TN. |
| 9:45AM Corinth, MS. Train: A88 The Jackson to Sheffield local arrives at Corinth yard from Jackson TN. NS 3312 NS 3204 UP 2928 |
| UP 2928 is added to the trains consist and the train pulls through the yard. The engine would be turned on the wye and added to the end of the consist due to its lack of an NS E.O.T. device. |
| A87's power returns to the northwest end of the yard after making pick ups and set outs at the ex-Corith & Counce yard. This gives us some great shots of one of West Tennessee's newest locomotives, WTNN 3172. |
