COLLIS, William Sr. was born at Fordham, Cambridgeshire, England in 1787
and converted at Great Grimsby, Lincolnshire in 1812. In 1817 he became a
local preacher. He died at the residence of his son-in-law Cyrus GREEN of
Wilmot May 26, 1853. - Aug. 31, 1853, p. 187, O.
FENWICK, Thomas was born in Lincolnshire, England in 1806, married Harriet
BROCKELSBY on Jan. 9, 1831, and came to Canada in August, 1850, settling in
Vaughan Twp. In 1852, he moved to Hay Twp. where he settled on a rented
farm. He was killed the 18th inst. when part of a tree that he and his
17-year-old son were chopping fell on him. Survived by his wife and 6

FOSTER, William Willis was born at Trusthorpe, Lincolnshire, England in
June 1793. He married at age 21 and came to Canada in 1829. He served as a
lay preacher at Montreal, Isle Aux Noix, Missisquoi Bay, Clarenceville, and
Eaton. He died at Eaton, C.E. Feb. 23, 1857. He is survived by his wife
and children, one of whom is a minister of the Troy Conference of the
Methodist Episcopal Church in the U.S. - March 18, 1857, p. 95, O.
HALL, Mrs Ann was born in Lincoln, England and came to Canada with her
husband and family in 1834, settling in Binbrook TWP. where she died Dec. 3,
1854 age 61. Predeceased by her husband a few months after they came to

HUNT, Mrs Susanna was born in Lincoln, England in 1780 and died in Brampton
Jan. 2, 1859. Survived by her husband John a local preacher, formerly of
Toronto Twp. Also 2 children, Rev. John HUNT of Yonge St. and Mrs ARMOUR of

PROCTOR, Mrs Ann was born at Petford, Nottinghamshire, England and moved to
Lincolnshire early in life. In 1834 she came to Canada with her husband and
children, settling at Sarnia, where she died April 23, 1859 age 66. Survived
by her husband and children. - May 18, 1859, p. 79, O.
SAUNBY, William was born at Claxbry, near Market Rasen, Lincolnshire,
England and came to Canada with his family in 1831, settling in the vicinity
of Montreal. 19 years later he moved to Emily Twp. He was a member of the
Church of England but joined the Wesleyan Methodist Church soon after he
moved to the London Circuit. He died at St. John's Mills, London Circuit on
Nov. 29, 1857 in his 50th year. - Jan. 13, 1858, p. 58, O.
SHUTTLEWORTH, Edmund was born in North Hycham, Lincolnshire, England in
Sept. 1771 and moved to Dorrington after his marriage. In 1834 he came to
Canada with his family settling in East Gwillimbury, where he died the 3rd
inst. - Nov. 21, 1855, p. 26, O.
SIMONS, Miss Elizabeth Richardson, second daughter of John SIMONS, farmer,
Goxhill Grange, Lincolnshire, England. She died in Toronto the 31st ult. -

SMITH, Edward - On the 24th ult. Edward SMITH age 25 of the Gore of
Toronto was severely injured when a tree fell on him as he was chopping
cord-wood. He died on the 27th ult. and has left a wife and 2 young
children. Edward was a native of Scampton, Lincolnshire, England. His wife
has been a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church for some years. - March

WATSON, Mrs Sarah. Sarah POOLE, wife of John WATSON Sr. was born at
Marton, Lincolnshire, England July 30, 1802. On June 9, 1819 she married
John WATSON Sr. In 1825 she was converted on the Gainsborough Circuit. In
1841 she came to Canada with her husband and family and resided at Durham
and Sutton, C.E. before moving to Port Sarnia, C.W. in 1851. She died at
Port Sarnia, Jan. 7, 1854. Predeceased by one child who died in his 20th
year. Survived by her husband and 11 children, two of whom are Wesleyan
Methodist preachers. - March 8, 1854, p. 84, O.
WATTS, William was born in Lincolnshire, England and came to Canada c. 15
years ago settling in Belleville. Later he moved to Hungerford. On the
14th inst. he died as a result of a collision with a lumber-wagon. He was
in his 62nd year and leaves his wife and a daughter. - Aug. 11, 1852, p.
174, O. dated at Hungerford, July 28th.
WILLBY, Richard was born in Lincolnshire, England in June, 1796 and came to
Canada in 1827, settling in Hope Twp. where he joined the Bible Christian
Church. 3 years ago he moved with his family to Howard Twp. where he joined
the Wesleyan Methodist Church. He died in the same township on March 9,
1859. - April 13, 1859, p. 59, O.
WILLOWS, Mrs Ann was born in Lincolnshire, England. She came to Canada
with her husband nearly 40 years ago and died in Drummond Twp. June 13, 1851
in her 73rd year. Survived by her children. - Sept. 10, 1851, p. 190, O.

ARMSTRONG, Mrs. Mary Ann was born at Thorn Hill, near Dungannon, County Tyrone, Ireland, in 1773, and married Rev. David Armstrong in 1806. In 1817 they emigrated to Quebec, C.E. The following year, they moved to Chambly, and in 1822, to Godmanchester, where she died Sept. 8, 1856. Survived by two sons
