In Loving

God's Garden
God looked around His
garden,
And found an empty place;
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw a tired face.
He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful;
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering;
He knew you were in pain.
He knew you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting tough,
And the hills were hard to climb;
So, He closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered, "Peace be thine".
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone;
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

I
met Donna when her family moved from Indiana to Tennessee, when we started the 8th grade.
Over the following years, we became great friends. She and I had many many long talks. We
could talk about anything. We had a lot of good times together and also shared a lot of
sad times. We used to sing together. She had a beautiful singing voice. The tune you hear,
"Because He Lives", is a song we sang many times. The last verse is below. Donna
has crossed that river, now. And I know that she is singing once again. Donna, I love you.
I miss you, but I will see you again.
And then one day, I'll cross
that river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain;
And then, as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He reigns!
Chorus
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
