God saw that she was getting tired
And a cure was not to be.
So, He put His arms around her,
And whispered, "Come with me."
With tearful eyes, we watched her suffer;
And saw her fade away.
Although we loved her dearly,
We could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest;
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

Let Me Go

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard His call;
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way;
I found that peace in the middle of the day.

Donna was born November 19, 1952 in Indiana to James Donald & Jewell Juanita Douglas Richardson. She was their first child. She was preceded in death by both her parents & her grandparents Rev. General & Della Lynch Douglas. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Manis & Angela Parrott & husband, Joey; son, Michael Douglas Manis & wife, Patsy; sister Linda Perkins, & husband, Warren; brother, Bill Richardson & wife, Jackie; granddaughter (who was her pride & joy) Holly Parrott. She loved her family so much & was very proud of them. Donna was very close to her family and she is missed so much.

To the family:

I keep you all in my prayers. I know how much you love & miss her. I'm so very thankful that I knew her. I have many wonderful memories of Donna. It helps me to remember the good times. My love to all of you,
