Gary Naysmith | ||||||||||
Scotland's sexiest player, Gary Naysmith won over Everton fans during his debut game against Newcastle United back in 2000, when he set off on a fantastic run before putting Kevin Campbell through to score. He has alternated between left back and wide left, but feels more comfortable at left back, where he is now first choice for both Everton and Scotland. The highlight of his 2003/2004 season had to be his free-kick against Spurs, where many Evertonians thought he'd borrowed Kevin Sheedy's left foot to bend a free-kick around the Tottenham wall and into the back of the net. He's been unlucky this season, picking up a silly red card and an injury against Moldaova (for Scotland.) Since, Sandor's been unbudgable and Gaz is having to work evtra hard to get his place back. He combines blistering pace with superb accuracy and very sexy accent. Unfortunately, I don't have the best of relationships with him, as I always end up making a twat out of myself whenever I meet him, or send him birthday cards nowhere near his birthday, (The Everton website got it wong OK?!?!?!) However, my latest meeting with Gaz have gone quite smoothly, though he insisted on trying to fix my camera when the firsat of the above photos was taken, because it hadn't flashed. I told him it wasn't meant to flash outside, but he didn't believe me. Then I wouldn't let go of him- well when one has the chance to hug Gary Naysmith, it;'s the kind of mement one wants to make last as long as possible!
