More than 7 clean sheets have meant that the defender classed as Everton's best has been limited to Carling Cup appearances.
Weir has always been a top class player, and whilst he's no longer as fast as he used to be (the man's 35!!!) he and Stubbsy still make the job at the back look easy.
A former Scotland international, Davey now devotes himself entirely to Everton, following Berti Vogts' decision to blame him and Christian Dailly for a poor result. This is obviously not the way a manager should behave, and Davey Moyes imediately sprung to Weir's defence.
Consequently, Scotland's most experienced and best defender told Berti to fuck off and not bother calling him up again as he had joined fellow Scot, Duncan Ferguson, in self-imposed exile from the Scotland team.
Good on ya Dave! Much as I love to see Scotland do well, that is no way to treat a player. Berti isn't fit to tie your shoe laces. Christian Dailly should have followed you rather than returning to play for that twat! At least Berti's gone now though...
