(And, as everyone knows, Emma is ALWAYS right... even when she's wrong.)
A former centre forward, the young defender is cool under pressure, strong in the air and so damn cool he makes fridges jealous.
This year he was voted "Young Player of the Season" and it was deserved, despite lengthy spells out due to injury and international commitments.
He finally broke his scoring duck with a goal against Newcastle, before doubling it the following week with one against Spurs in the memorable Good Friday victory.
He started this seaosn well, and made Henry look average when we played Arsenal... and had a few encounters with th Frenchman. I reckon Henry was saying "Hey Joey, What's the French for Vava Voom?"
Whatever he said, Joey got on with his football and he kept Henry out of the game... because he's a better player.
He picked up an injury in the win ovr West Brom and Davy Weir took his place. Unfortunately for Joey (but fortunately for Everton) Weir made the most of this oppurtunity and Joey hasn't been able to budge him since!! The fact thast one of the world's best defenders is being kept out of the side really says somehting for the way we're playing at the moment.
He has been limited to a number of appearances in Carling Cup games, in which he's been very imprssive, but will have to wait for his chance to start for Everton again. (I never thought I'd be sayiong that about Joey Yobo!)
Joey is on my list of "Cool" but has a way to go before he overtakes Kevin Campbell who currently occupies top spot. Joey, however, has recently risen above Ringo Starr...
